Anonymous, 20 Apr 2014For those who is comparing each and every smart phone with ... moreThe same question for u:
Can u tell me a smartphone which has beautiful metal design, perfect, intuitive, less laggy UI, dual camera and so on?
Removeble battery? wor what?why u need this? how much time per year u change the battery? LCD display show much realistic colours,if we r talkin' ab S5 and M8- the difference in durability 1-2 hours....so what?it's not a big deal!
The same thing with PPI,Htc has more PPI than S5, and pictures are much better from technical point of view! do u see the difference? I don't think so! Because if the display has min 300 PPI-u wouldn' see the difference! it;s not a creteria!
So if u like Sam -ok,go and get it...but u have to compare both phones and after that say what is really is....but not tell that Sam is a King! for you -probably, but not for all!

antisha82, 21 Apr 2014Only bad thing about M8 is that is way to beautiful and you... moreOnly problem is M7's small screen (less than 5 inches isn't enough for comfortable usage), which is partially fixed on the M8. M8 has also the better looks, but the camera is still a a joke to me - but I don't really NEED a perfect camera, so if Sony's Z2 fails - M8 is my next phone. 160 grams is ideal for me, since I had a Desire Z and loved that I could feel it in my pockets.

Few things:
M8 have also barometer
Heart monitor in s5 is just a toy, never shows correct rates compared to professional monitors. 75 vs 88 is huge difference in heart beat
Poor implementation of finger scanner mechanism, sometimes work sometimes don't
Poor implementation of ip67 water resist, I bet that after 20 - 30 back cover removals , this little seal will start failing, so be careful with this removal battery feature
Sound quality thru the headphones - m8 kills s5
Built quality - I went to shop on Friday, compared these two. Just take a look on this silver plastic cheap looking frame around s5. No, this is a joke, this smartphone should be much cheaper.
M8 is in my pocket. Built quality, premium feel, fast ui, sound quality on the headphones.

If you're OK with the looks, design and grip of S5, then grab it because as the spec proofed, S5 is better than M8. Then you're a rational person, think logically, and pick what's best for you now and for the future.
However, if you're crowd-avoiding person, smartphone-for-everyday-task oriented, totally not OK with S5 design, maybe you're going to pick M8 or Z2.
Personally, I'm a M7 user and hell it is lot better than S4. But now, I guess I'm going to avoid either S5 or M8.

Believe it or not, things like that damage phones, and can interfere with the water-proofing. Not to mention that it is a fact that the Galaxy S5 is waterproof. Thousands, and soon to be millions of people have already put it in cups of water, swimming pools, and even washing machines, including myself...

That sounds like you being super defensive in denial rather than them.
You sound extremely hurt and jealous in your comments thus far.

anonymous, 20 Apr 2014You know it's actually harder to go from android to ios tha... moreI have to disagree, and quite strongly so. I never had an iPhone but recently bought an iPad Air for my daughter, she had Android tablet before and also had HTC and Xperia Android phones. For both of us going to iOS was no problem, simple enough, it felt familiar after just 20 minutes or so.

AnonD-219781, 21 Apr 2014Ummm, no. I watched that completely unscientific video, and... moreHe wiped it because it was full of water inside. You dont have to like the video but you have to admit that he would reattach the back cover after the brick test.
Goes a long way to prove that most people see what they want to see, you can discredit the video all you like but still: 1. Water came inside.
