It's not "behind" them, even though I know it's still in beta state which leaves things to be made of course, still its performance is very good. Yes, there are things others do she can't do (yet), but also she has some tricks of her own that others can't do also, so it's pretty much a matter of taste rather than functionality (but even in functionality, I find both Cortana and Google Now to be able to do a bit more than Siri is capable of).

On what basis did you review Windows phone 8.1 ? Official version is not yet available this is just a developer version so that they can test their apps ! Sorry to say but cortana performs better then Siri and google now ! Please check again and for your information Cortana is still in BETA version ! If you understand what it is !
And yeah Stock andriod too doesnt have a File manager Note it ! OEM make it for andriod users and in windows phone 8.1 there are many third party File managers which give Enough acess to the files ! yes i agree apps are less at the moment but eventually they will come over :)

WP Company Hub requires symantec license, which is $299/year before tax. Not including $99 company account. That is too much.

Android has been doing all that, for a long time. I had a WP7, which was lacking in even basic features such as Bluetooth share, but at least MS is catching up. Would have been great if I could have updated from WP7 to WP8. Still, I prefer Android. The WP8.1 update will not make me jump ship, they're still behind the competition, unfortunately.

Thanks for the review. But can you please elaborate more on how Cortana is behind Siri and Google Now? The review doesn't emphasize this point, and from what I've seen in videos and other reviews it does a very good job and almost on par with them, if not exceeding in some occasions. I'm not saying it's perfect, nor saying it's better or worse, just you've put a point in the negatives side and didn't explain it in details during the review.

Very good ones like Poc... moreI know there are other apps & those are good too, but are more use on sd card memory & are not much use on devices like 920, 1020. Also file manager is such an important thing that i wouldn't like to depend on third party app... I guess WP will bring it in next big update like 9.0.

The most important is playing FLAC format files from telephone not from One dRive disc.
Now I play FLAC files from "cloud" but WM 8.1 should make available play them from memeory telephone.

Will 8.1 update support wifi direct. Bcoz its very imp connectivity drawback of WP. Very slow data sharing via Bluetooth.

8.1 seems very nice step by ms, dual sim, cortana & notification center are key features, but still file manager is missing

Rizu, 22 Apr 2014no flv file support. nd others format also. no suitable app... moreMost phones don't support that many formats. Mostly just Samsung does. There are apps for all the formats you need however.
There are more than enough games. Not to the level of iOS sure, but it's not barren.
You CAN move clips/photos/apps/games to the SDCard. And there are apps now that work perfectly as a File Manager.
Unfortunately, you can't yet share video through bluetooth. In iOS, you can't share anything through bluetooth.
Do your homework first.

Anonymous, 22 Apr 2014Plz give realese date of wp8.1You can already get official WP8.1. Sign up for WP app studio, which is free. Install Preview for Developers app and then go to settings->Check for Updates. Install two OTA updates. First one is a preparation for WP8.1. Be patient and not reset your phone during install.
