Anonymous, 06 Jun 2014First of all, the LG G3 is a good phone. However, a couple ... moreExactly. No disrespect to it. It's a great device and the display is great.
But it's battery life and performance are a little below the rest thanks to it's display and weak decision in battery.
Plus like you said it's bezel ratio is nice, but not this god sent like fanboys are claiming.
It's a great device, but aside from personal preferences was not enough to kill competition.
But personal preference is all one really needs.

AnonD-259899, 06 Jun 2014805 is not going to solve the battery issues if that's what... moreI would not say they tried their best.
They made the phone larger with 5.5QHD and kept the same large thickness of 8.9mmm....Yet demolished everything by retaining same 3,000MAH battery.
Even G Pro 2 was made to be 8.3mm with 3,200MAH battery.
So there is no excuse. And even making the display dimmer did not cut it.
It should have at the very least been 3,200-3,400MAH battery.
And could have possibly been more and thinner.

For me even 1080p is overkill on a smartphone.
This QHD thing is just a ridiculous waste of resources.

AnonD-205517, 06 Jun 2014If you want high contrast and oversaturated and false and u... moreMeanwhile in reality and contradictory to your false misleading comments.
LCDs have false unreal over saturated colors too. Especially LG G line. Some of the most.
On top of over saturated colors the screen is super reflective, not as bright, has fake blacks, washed out contrast, fake overly high white balance, uneven backlight with bright spots, consumes more power, takes up more space, and so forth.
Not one thing about that says "natural".
And Amoled has Movie Mode with true blacks, great contrast, less saturated colors, true white balance, less reflective, and even lighting throughout the display. Which in turn makes an overall much more natural image.
Plus in the real world away from the hurt internet trolls most people like the saturated colors in Standard mode and LCD cannot reach or match them.
So you might want to check your facts before bias trolling.

I only thing that they could have invested in a 805 chipset and a more capable battery.

AnonD-239468, 06 Jun 2014Meh, overrated useless QHD mediocre display. Disappointed b... more805 is not going to solve the battery issues if that's what you are thinking. 805 and 801 both consume in mWs when doing stuff like IM/Browsing for example. The extra pixels in QHD is the real killer. There is no way around that unless some big break through happens on QHD front to reduce over all power consumption without reducing brightness, contrast and other abilities that make for a good display. LG tried their best so A+ for effort but it still wont win people over who are now used to LG G2's level of battery goodness even with replaceable battery.

amazing battery and performance compared to others even with QHD screen (its a killer of those two), unmatched focus and camera performance but LG u stuck at G2 module again? 13mp again? but still good, but i wish this phone had a FHD screen -_-

First of all, the LG G3 is a good phone. However, a couple of things should be kept in mind:
- The bezel-to-screen ratio is not THAT good compared to deviced with physical buttons. The usable screen area is similar to e.g. Galaxy S5. It just sounds good on paper.
- The 1440p screen isn't really that useful. Of course more pixels is better but performance will suffer on current chipsets. Just like a 4K laptop for now will not be able to run games at 4K resolution because current graphics processors just aren't good enough.
Considering the above two points, the LG G3's two main selling points against the competition (S5, One M8, Z2) are not that amazing. Thus, the competition between the four devices is very level.
