              I have the ESA V10a version G3 and my friend has the Korean version which updated recently and he said that the software update solve the issues of the lag in terms of menu transition effects. Also the battery improved. So i believe in the next update it will do the job well :-)

                Battery life and lag...

                BL being the absolute killer... should be marked down severely...

                Similarly there's no place for lag in er, flagship (okay, so there is, but only re: spelling!) again, if you're paying top whack for a top of the range phone, whoever the manufacturer, lag is a no-no...

                Okay, you can tinker around the edges re: app usefulness, sound, camera quality, etc. - but if the 2 fundamentals are wrong, it should be impossible to recommend...

I think that's also an honest observation. I like GSMArena's explanations too and I think,they're honest and very objective. I'm quite a fan of Z2 to be honest, but I'd also like to be fair and at the same time, true to myself. So I know that Sony still needs some polishing when it comes to the camera. I think, it's just in the processing. I know they can considering the photo quality of their RX cams. I like G3 too, I think it's also beautiful and surely powerful.

                    Ok guys. My first ever post here.

                    Ok, my stands.
                    I really love them both. I have these two very good phone and really love it. But they have their own edge.

                    So when it comes to...

                    "Handling and Design"
                    Both good, but i prefer the LG G3, because it's lighter and feels comfortable to the hands. Design's of both phone is very good.

                    "Display"
                    I prefer the Z2. It's eye-catching despite of 5.2" vs 5.5" of the G3. But when it comes to viewing a high quality pictures, G3 is great, because of the QHD resolution. The fine details are there.

                    "Battery Life"
                    Z2 for me. Got 2 days of the usual use. G3 is a power hog. But i am pretty sure LG will improve this to their next phone software update. But no one can beat LG G2's battery. Mine got 89 Hours of use.

                    "UI"
                    G3. Lots of features. But some features from G2 still missing in G3. Who would have thought, there's no Picture Widget in G3 and a flashlight like in G2? But Z2' UI is great too and very neat.

                    "Performance"
                    They both works pretty well when opening apps its fast, but i'm experiencing some statter lags in G3 when swiping in homescreen. The graphics transition effect. No prob with Z2.

                    "Camera"
                    When it comes to picture taking, i prefer G3. It's crisp. I'm kinda disappointed of Z2's picture quality.
                    When it comes to Video taking, i prefer Z2 because of the extra personalization and effects included.

                    "Music/Sound"
                    I prefer Z2's music player and the noise cancelling earphone included. Awesome sound. But the G3 is not far behind. It's good too, if you also use the Z2's included earphone in the G3. Loudspeaker is better in G3. Quadbeat 2 is more in the treble side, Noise Cancelling earphone of Z2 is more on the bass side.

                    "Conclusion"
                    Over-all i love them both. You couldn't have the best of all. So my advice is to buy it both. Hahaha Kidding.

                    Seriously, i can't live a day when one is not with me. These two great phone need to be with together as for my uses. They have their own tasks.

                      It boggles me that GSMA has a preference to call a more bloat UI better...objectively that is a preference only.
                      More vanilla like Z2 UI doesn't show any lag as opposing to LG's and Samsung's UI...and any (if) feature lacking you can always download an app to do it...
                      but in the end you can't fix the lag...
                      So...Z2 and HTc M8 win in that category over Lg G3 and S5 any time...at least in my book...

                      Then again it boggles me what criteria does GSM Arena staff have for picture quality and camera usage? Is it only the 100% crop noise level that they use as a criteria of a better shooter? What about color reproduction, level of detail in low level light, and other features camera provides like stabilization?
                      What about video recording on the move? Z2 has best MBps buffer and stabilisation of them all...Doesn't that count in factoring the quality of video?
                      I do like the panorama quality of G3 much more, though...

                      Not saying G3 and S5 are weaker or something, but just saying all have some advantages and disadvantages...
                      I guess the DoxMark staff takes ALL these factors in account when testing...
                      and that is why Z2 is there on the top along with S5


                      And people don't have to even agree to any of these remarks of mine, but we can all agree to call G3 a subpar phone in performance due to its lag and especially disappointing battery life

                      So sorry, but objectively G3 doesn't surpass Z2 in most categories:
                      neither design,
                      nor loudspeaker sound (stereo over mono),
                      nor display ( what kind of criteria is more pixels only!?! ),
                      nor UI ( responsivness over features ),
                      nor battery life (6h browsing, heloo?)
                      and that crop noise level ONLY is a questionable criteria for camera comparisson.

                      But LG is better in headphone sound I believe, and (for some) in daylight stills, definitely in panorama photo, and LG's faster autofocus has it's advantages while recording video that is true...

                        The fact that you prefer the Z2 doesn't make it the best phone..
                        It all depends on what priorities you have in a phone.

                        For me, it was the camera (other factors are also important of course, but like I said.. priorities), and the S5 has the best camera right now, where the Z2 shows pretty disappointing pictures considering the sensor they have..

                            LG G3 is NOT better than Sony Xperia Z2. I'm not a Sony fan but Sony has finally created a solid smartphone with the Z2 this time. It got the G3 beat in display, camera and performance. There is literally no practical advantage the G3 has over the Z2. Don't be fooled by its QHD resolution. It's just a marketing ploy. It's got the worst screen, quality-wise, among all the current flagship phones.
