07 July 2014
The premium droids are in combat mode and we are making ourselves comfortable to watch another pair fight it out for a place at the top. We’ve seen a few already, the newcomer LG G3 itself involved in a couple...

Some of the users claim that its nothing abnormal and i have seen posts from users like you claiming G3 handling heat better than Z2. Some say its a deal breaker and this would put them off this phone. Heavy gaming / playing graphic intense one's would heat any phone on earth. It can only be of concern if you felt the device getting overheated than normal on moderate usage. Like 30mins of phone call / 20-30mins of wi-fi / listening to music / 20-30 mins browsing.

Can you please post pics of battery temp comparison b/w G3 & Z2.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2014But it's not.ok whatever that makes u sleep at night! but i still like the Z2 screen more despite the weaker performance it shows vs S5's screen under direct sunlight and anyway we're talking G3 here! Z2's screen is better than every other phone to date maybe just maybe except S5's.

darkraver, 08 Jul 2014It boggles me that GSMA has a preference to call a more blo... moreAs it's been said 1000000 times here doxmark tested many more aspects of the camera than just stills. Which is the only way that Z2 even stood a chance.

And as it's also been stated 1000000 times the S5 had not been tested. Which everywhere else it had has been shown to be superior in majority of the aspects. Detail, most lighting conditions from moderate to very bright, audio, contrast, video "despite Z2 being more stabilized", capture speeds, focus, hdr, using the full sensor for most aspects and features.
And the front camera was no contest at all. Z2 just failed in comparison.

And Gsmarena quite obviously looks for these things too. And noise levels are quite important when it comes to photos.

Just like in the case with G3 vs S5 GSM gave the display win to G3 just fro resolution when the S5 has the best mobile display around. In terms of advantages and technology....Not just extreme resolution.

Same with the display of Z2. It's better in almost all other important ways and advantages. Like colors, contrast, sunlight, and all.

And just as I mentioned earlier. Last year in battle of the S4 and HTC One M7 the S4's speaker was slightly louder. You don't see everyone saying the one slightly louder speaker of the S4 was better than the dual stereo speakers of the M7.

Like it or not the Z2 has more practical and technical advantages. The G3 is great, but factually is the least upgraded of the 4 major flagships with the least advantages.

And that has made all the difference. So not only a good hardware can provide good camera experience out of a smartphone, it also depends upon these nuances of the processing capability of a smartphone's camera.

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2014S5>G3>Z2>Note3>M8That's ur ranking based on your preferences. Am a user who doesn't change a phone for atleast 3-4 years. So i would need a phone with an UI that is highly customizable / lot of options, though some might be gimmicky. Just to keep trying them around as am gonna hold on to that for quite longer. In that aspect G3 tops my list. Though i haven't tried G3 yet. But Z2 feels like a 5.5 inch ph despite being a 5.2 like G2. N i can protect my phone from water & dust just like i ve done for my current iPhone than toiling with those ugly flaps around. No offense. Its my opinion.

you can do more on LG. Sony is very limited you need a third party in some case.

                                  so I prefer LG's UI.

Most people won't even notice 720p on this size for daily use anyway.... they could have used 900p screens for Retina pictures (320+ppi), not even 1080p... do not be fooled by marketing and hype.
