With average and below average 22 hrs, camera very good I'm not saying it's great but still a bit better than S5 and M8 in low light plus the 4K video looks more cinematic and more realistic than S5 4K, sun light visibility not bad at all it's even better than Z2 with full brightness, the back speakers is very good, but still not in bar with M8 dual boom sound but better than S5 and Z2.

Anonymous, 08 Jul 2014LG 'S UI is far better than Sony's i owned xperia z1 and G3I own the Z2 and just got a 32gb G3 from Handtec. In terms of UI, I much prefer the Z2 but really also enjoying the pared down UI on the G3 which is better and jars far less than that on the G2! Each to their own, it is called choice!

The configuration of both are quite same, though the processor clock speed in G3 is higher than Z2...but in practical Z2 is smoother, faster and easier.
Screen resolution in G3 is higher than Z2, but Z2 screen colours are more naturals. Though LG has a qHD screen, but its not as great as it meant to be.
camera of Z2 has a bigger sensor and it makes more natural colours.Z2 camera also has too many options to snap a photo that LG cant offer.
looks and design you can see in Z2 because of its glass body, not plastic.
Battery is also quiet good in Z2.
Z2 has stereo speakers that LG have not, so easily Z2 produces a powerful sound also having no issues with the sound quality.
All over Z2 is the best either you go east or west.

I do not understand what people like in thinner beezels...
I used a LG G2 for two weeks...
and it was a pain in the arse, just because of that thin beezels, up and aside...
had to use two hands every single time I had to do something on it...
because every single time I tried using onehanded, I ended up hiting the wrong part of the screen accidentaly...
that was quite a frustrating experience!
And every true G2/G3 user will admit you so...

G3 is sharper than Z2,but the shadow area are not nature look.
Z2 is brighter than G3, but the distant object is soft.

Anonymous, 13 Jul 2014So you just blindly follow Sony and ignore all else. Understood.I ignore what exactly?
Seems to me much of you ignore loads of photo tests between phones out there all over the net
...and blindly, just ignorantly form opinions on case of a couple of cropped pictures here on GSMA articles.
Don't be ignorant, research more than just this site, then come back to eventually discuss

Then again sony still's are overall best in many factors like white balance, color reproduction, night shot, steady shot without OIS...but, that seems not to be important to some reviewers I guess...
Quite misleading...
Doxmark review explained it quite well, but tech talk there not many understand....

Users of G3 please share your thoughts. I had decided to go for G3. now am taking a step back after seeing lot of heating issues being reported. Which is better - G2 32GB or G3 32GB - both ART enabled.???
So if G2's perf is better than G3 due to qHD & 801 combi...may b the 805 version of g3 might roll out shortly. i'll have to go for G2-32GB. As its high time for me to switch my device.
But i hate the UI of G2. I can root it and port a custom ROM like cloudy or optimus. but am bit skeptical about this as this is gonna be my first Android phone.
Guys, your thoughts.

AnonD-27765, 08 Jul 2014iOS is FAR more preferred in business, education and by cre... moreios is good but i miss bs player for automatic subtitle download...
one click share facebook button (xperia z2)
u cannot easily open one file into another application.
no file manager/ blutooth support
no nfc
no screen mirroring..
android is late entry but has all latest..
iam not bussiness class to worry about account hijack/ virus.
android is fun, lovely and has lot lot more features which are user friendly..
ios is best for business but i prefer work while you work and play while you play..
z2 has proved to be master piece phone in quality, build, camera, features, performance.. its hard to beat... by s5/ m8/ g3.. of course i did expect new features like ois and manual shutter control and xenon flash..
the qhd videos i screen mirrored to samsung curved qhd.. the showroom guy admitted that video shot with z2 was verymuch better than s5.. compared both in same light and conditions.. iam not professional photographer or guy to keep adjusting settings.. i use google cam on z2.. photos are awesome.. z2 owners please use google cam for pictures, for colorful enviroments like green / lake side i use aqua camera lite.. try these they r superb... dont compare z2 to m8/s5/g3..
z2 is leader way ahead.. just look at the boldness of sony to launch z2 ahead of these, yet they retain spot1..
come one there is no use discussing z2 vs bla bla bla..
gsm arena had excluded lumia1020 in comparing z1/s4/s5 cameras saying its beyond comparision. now please exclude z2. its no.1 .. try comparing g3/s5/m8 for spot 2...

Anonymous, 09 Jul 2014As it's been said 1000000 times here doxmark tested many mo... moreShort story is that dxomark are smart enough to not sit there like a child screaming "CAPTURED DETAIL IS THE ONLY THING THAT MATTERS, WE WANT MORE CAPTURED DETAIL IN PERFECT LIGHT!". When one realizes that detail isnt everything one can start to really compare cameras. Sony easily wins on white balance and true colors, plus it has good dynamic range, no level of detail can compensate for that.
Im using a BB Z10 now and the cam has good detail but the white balance is so much off that i have to edit every single photo unless theres lots and lots of white in the motive. I really miss Xperia when it comes to photos, wish Sony will give us back the 4:3 format when using Superior Auto.

And again we see personal bias in a VS review, bigger display is an advantage now, then why not just recommend a 7 inch phone at once? Big advantage, right? Sure G3 has an advantage in size to screen ratio but thats a different story which isnt even mentioned.
Further, im getting tired of this haleluja over DAYLIGHT shots, is all we want now maximum captured detail under perfect light conditions? No way, i used lots of phones and the one that captured the least detail was by far the best, im talking Xperia Z, excellent white balance which results in excellent colors, indoor photos are incredibly much better than for example Galaxy S4 which is the famous phone for capturing high detail on perfect days but cant do much at all under normal conditions, exact same problem as other Samsungs, for example when i was in a church last year we took some photos and the people i were with all had Samsung phones and none of them got as much as a single useable photo while my Xperia Z didnt make a single failed shot.
Unfortunately Sony has destroyed the Superior Auto by forcing us to use 16:9, thats a concern for me as i need a new phone but its so messy to take photos when always have to change settings, thats why i am looking for another brand this time, but i will not go back to Samsung or another weird thing that cant take photos unless everything is perfect, looks like LG has parked in the same street as Samsung here and is sacrificing everything to capture max details in perfect light, in line with the demands from the ignorant crowd of buyers who dont even know what white balance is, or other things that are important for a camera. Its all about captured detail now, its madness.
