darkraver, 15 Sep 2014Could not agree more, that much lasting non removable batte... moreYou love to twist everything don't you?
You even sat on the z3 release page praising it for having so many new updates and improvements when it's just a minor bump..some good ones, but a minor bump....
Then waddled over to the note 4 page with some much more serious upgrades and improvements to claim that it was meaningless and had no changes. Was the same as the note 3. And that it was Samsung and was therfore bad.
Then ranted how superior Sony was.
...yet you complain that others are supposedly the fans and that they are bothering you.

It's an embarrassment to be able to replace a faulty battery on your own in a few simple seconds and inexpensively without having to void warranty or send your phone away?

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014I think Sony's phones are the best out there (and this is o... moreYou might have a nice approach with the slide out battery, but that definitely does not go with the Omni Balance design that Sony has been using lately...
The only 2 Sony phones that are both Waterproof and battery accessible are the Xperia V and the Xperia ZR... All other Xperias diverge from this design and I actually like it...
I used to think that removable batteries were a must, but its been a long time since I actually got a spare battery, so I rather have a bigger, longer lasting battery (ala Z3 Compact, 101 hrs Endurance Test) + an external battery pack that can be use with other devices, than having a removable battery that I will never take advantage of, and any battery I get will only work with that specific device...

Huge upgrade on my HTC One M7 in every way. I don't mind that the screen is not 1080p, it does wonders for the battery anyway! Even the design is good, the plastic borders don't annoy me too much and for a 4.6 inch phone it's very small!

AnonD-212255, 15 Sep 2014Yeah, really?
I'm guessing you never intended on buying... moreI think Sony's phones are the best out there (and this is one truly amazing), but your comment here is absolute BS fanboyism like an Apple drone (most Sony fans have more brains than Apple drones).
There is no reason why the battery cannot be made removable, while maintaining a hight build quality and premium feel (a good approach may be to make it like cameras whereby the battery slides out the side rather than having to open the back)

Hhh#h.. You are good man 👨.. You said what I was thinking.. Even thought, why you need a replaceable battery of the battery performance is outstanding at the first place? You might need a backup battery if you are using the new Samsung Alpha, but with the Sony Compact, you don't need it.. Peace

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Non-replaceable battery is the biggest disadvantage of this... moreYeah, really?
I'm guessing you never intended on buying this device, because the implementation of a non-user replaceable should hardly shock you. The Xperia Z series has never come with replaceable battery....Nor should it.
The days of schlepping an extra battery around is the tech equivalent of a "fart in the wind". Something Samsung is hopelessly clinging to...probably to juice the consumer for even more money.
A battery pack does what 2 batteries can do, at half the cost of OEM batteries.
The ability to remove your back cover loses that " slab of metal and glass " appeal that signifies a premium flagship.

this is a real comparison, as you look at them...
S5 got about 30% better, rest are Z2 territory in details, hence quality...
Video...I don't even want to mention that, it is an embarrasment to s5
I don't know what this site does when testing but it is not testing good...

less noise? yes but no more detail and sharp images.
the whole point of big megapixels are more details.looks like z3c have best details in android phone class.(still we dont know note 4's review)
20 megapixel mode of z2 is really shit it's worse then even z1.but 8 mpx auto mode are the best camera pics in overall quality.s5 captures sharp and better details then z2 in daylight but night and low light images is really bad.
the truth is isocell's shit at low light cond. unlike samsung advertised that's why they use sony sensor in note 4 and even s5 ltea(s5 with sd805).

Ah well, you... moreThe truth hurts you, sony fanboy.
Samsung phones capture more detailed and sharper images with less noise. The only problem is the lack of OIS, but Note 4 will have this feature too.

Ah well, you believe whatever you want
You can disable autofocus, its still an unwatchable tremorfest, and with less detail ( not that it has much in the first place due to overblown colors)
Gave you a link downunder to example of how crappy samsung video actually is...

AnonD-212255, 15 Sep 2014When is GSMArena going to stop listing a non-replaceable ba... moreNon-replaceable battery is the biggest disadvantage of this phone.
This phone would be very good if it had removable battery. I like that the screen resolution is not higher than 720p and it has a high-end CPU and GPU, because the lower resolution combined with a high-end GPU, it significantly improves the performance.
The non-removable battery is the main reason why I will not buy this phone.

darkraver, 14 Sep 2014about the difference between xperias and galaxies in video ... moreSamsung phones have much better camera than Sony phones.
Xperia phones takenoisy and blurry photos with less detail. The other big advantage of Samsung Galaxy phones is that you can disable autofocus in video recording.
Samsung phones have the best camera among Android phones.
