because even if it miracuosly depletes to 50% its efficency, it is still like a newly bought alpha/iphone battery

I thought I read the antutu benchmark score of 46k+ the first time saw this review. Why did gsm remove it? Anyone knows the actual antutu score?

When is GSMArena going to stop listing a non-replaceable battery as a disadvantage?
Having a removable back cover would compromise the aesthetics and build quality of this device.

Anonymous, 15 Sep 2014Yes.. moving cars, and nature, with great objects to check ... moreSince they are testing cameras on portable devices, they ought to create a video recording test where camera is actually porting (moving), not only moving objects in front of a static camera....
People actually use their phone camcorder while moving most of the time...
Samsung galaxy line is horrible in that video aspect, videos are unwatchable, and there is no mention about it in reviews...

What I don't love about Sony is the sh*t ton of useless apps they stuff with their devices. I recently had a pleasure of setting up the Z2 tablet for my mate's technologically-impaired husband - imagine doing that, with the guy constantly pointing to some crap-app and asking "so, what does this let me do?". As if an app was a built in function! I seriously considered slicing my wrists after he's done that with the 3rd sat-nav app (yes, 3rd, you read that right) that Sony kindly placed on the tablet. It was a nightmare! Sony, please, for the sake of mental stability, lay off the bloatware.

Does it have those anti-shatter protection films installed on the screen and on the back that other devices from Sony had before? That would be a real bummer for me as you weren't allowed to remove them by your own.

[deleted post]I am not trying to sound like a fanboy, but...the fact is that in controlled conditions (GSMA comparison shots) z3 takes better photos. Real life pics of the street and such...well, some areas of pictures taken do have more noise artefacts on z3 (center), but then some have less (more to the edges)...
But it is the controlled conditions, as in exactly equal conditions, that you can see which camera makes better shots...and Z3 wins in that hands down this time
Uncontrolled conditions are susceptable to light and shadow conditions and especially the photographers know-how to make the best out of the camera...
So...you can claim that in auto mode alpha shots looks better, but overall it just isnt a better shooter
(I know, I know, this type of debates keep going on and on, but still...)

Wow. Those battery score sure impress.
Though I don't see what was the point of increasing the screen size. Is the compact and while they made it fit without increasing the body the body is so very thick. Compact is the purpose here so they would have been better off reducing thickness and adding the speakers.
That screen brightness level though! Over 700nits! It's a shame that it all only averages sunlight scores with such a high brightness.
