This phone is good, flagship-grade alright, but I guess people have higher expectation. I guess if it's priced below $500 it would sell like hot cakes.

It's even ... moreThe Z3 Compact has a better battery life because it is using a smaller screen (= less power required for backlight) with a lower resolution (= less processing required with 777,600 pixels vs. 2,073,600 pixels). That is the disadvantage you get with 1080p and I'd rather have the Z3 Compact because 319ppi is still more than adequate unless you use your phone with a magnifying glass.
Also interesting that GSMArena has a slightly different tone on the camera performance than in the Z3 Compact review. I assume they have the same camera performance?
These phones are the best on the market by far and it is sickening to see the degree of hype given to other fashion devices in much of the media while completely ignoring these. As far as I'm concerned you are an idiot if you buy any other phone than the Z3 or Z3 Compact.

Z3 should have Snapdragon 805, QHD screen, OIS, dual Led flash and fingerprint scanner. This is not even an Z2s.

Seriously, GSMA? There are no disadvantages with this phone! Slightly larger than its competitors! Are you kidding? Go use a compare tool and it is perfect for its class. Suggest you try the iBend 6 Plus and you will truly understand what large looks like.

The flaws still there. As a Z1s user, I just want to say that Sony really should've move to sim card slot to the left instead of staying on the right. Reason? Well, get a case that came with cover and you can immediately see why. Cause then charging the phone is pain in the ass. And the charging port for the docking station, Sony should've replace it with wireless charge already. I'm not saying that the xperia Z line isn't a good, in fact it's a great phone. But, I just can't stand my usb charging port and the cover for the port so it can waterproof. Cause my started to became loose now.

Image and video quality are absolutely stunning! Z2 looks like a total crap compared to this. Absolutely amazing!

One does wonder why headphone output is always very quiet with xperia devices.

I do not agree with the suggestion that this phone may attract Z1 owners. I still get vast support like 4.4.4 and almost monthly update of all default apps. Do not miss 4k video, miss the stereo speakers though.

The copper colour should have been just for the frame. The back should have a light tan-sand like colour. Also that light blue is not very good. They should have gone for dark blue. Still not as hideous as those coloured samsung galaxys
