10 October 2014
From an oddball that everyone was laughing at to becoming one of the most important Samsung announcement of the year – the Note series got to a place where now everyone else wants to be in too, including Apple...

Actully the Note 4 design kinda looks like lumia 930 or maybe Samsung this time copied Nokia.

Impressive battery life. It's one thing iphones used to have advantage on. Now Samsung has the upperhand.

Great review. Is the Note 4 not waterproof?
If not, why these companies keep leaving out ONE major feature to add to the next model is just BS. Phone companies do this constantly.

Low light shots are garbage, OIS didn't help much. The sensor is still only good for daylight shots. Battery life is the atleast onpar with most of last year's phone in terms of webrowsing and IMs. Video playback endurance is great for numbers but that's done on SD resolution, at FHD and QHD it will be no where close to half of that, Of course this is the case with all their video play back numbers for all the other phones tested.

Not much compelling reason to go for this phone even if you have a Note 2 let alone Note 3.

Review says " The metal frame feels great to the touch and
adds quite a lot to the premium feel. More
importantly however, it should solve a long-
standing issue with Samsung handsets where
the silver-paint on the plastic frames would chip
and peel off with time to really spoil the overall
            look of the company's phones."

I'd take removable back cover and removable battery over metal unibody any day of a week. If you don't like the back cover, you can easily replace it. There are many back cover available for note 3, metal, glass, real leather, you name it!! I think those covers will be available for note 4 too, if not they are already available. You can customize the note 4's back any way you want.

FAZA, 11 Oct 2014what iPhone 6 plus done in benchmark 1gb ram > 3 gb ram... more1gb RAM is not superior to 3gb, same with dual and quad cores. These are 2 different OS, I would say iOS 8 is faster than Android KitKat, but not superior. Superior because you can do so much more with a Galaxy Note 4 compared to a iPhone 6 (Take notes with S Pen, run 2 apps simultaneously, use yr phone as a remote...) for CHEAPER.
Also you should maybe wait for Android L in a few weeks, so you can compare it with iOS 8 again :)

EStar, 11 Oct 2014This is a proper flagship phone! But I just am wonderin... moreExactly what I thought. The qhd resolution makes the performance on par with last years flagship at best, specially in gaming. I can't help but wonder how much the performance and battery life would've been improved with a 1080p screen. I guess the coming z compact could have that combination as all phones above 5" are most likely going to get bumbped to QHD resolution to keep the spec battle even.

AnonD-175233, 11 Oct 2014Provide proof? Where did you read this?I think one obvious way of proof is look at the battery results.
It scores 17 1/2 hours in video.
And even though Amoled uses more power to display white and the Note is 5.7 inch QHD it matches and beats most browser scores and is only slightly outdone by a few.

I think that speaks for itself.
As far as where it came from I think it was an article on here. Possibly the one to do with the Displaymate tests??? Or in the newsfeed a few pages back?

                                Do a Google search.

I have tried Note 4 in Samsung Shop. It is really really really fast. This is the first time Touchwiz feels fast like a Nexus device.

Plus they improved the efficiency in the displays technology.
The new 5.7inch qhd Amoled panel uses up to 40% less power than its' 5 inch 1080p LCD rivals.

So to all of you whining about it being a waste.... get over it and accept the advancing of future tech.

It obviously does amazing on battery and the new stronger chips handle it well.
