christmas dreaming is excellent! it's full of emotions that looks like the animal is whining for a x-mas gift. Lol. like it very much, but there's no first placer=( i think most who joined the contest were digicam photographers and professionals. next time gsmarena must diversify the models and choose the winner by categories, cause autofocus and macro is a very big advantage. fixed focus cameras are mediocre. and people who have no money to buy an excellent camera phone and joined the contest must be given a chance.=D

Congratulations winners! And sorry losers. Stop whining and moaning people, it's just for fun, don't take it seriously, you might die of heart attack :) LoL. If you didn't win, well there's always another chance, be thankful that GSM Arena did this for all the viewers. Thanks for doing this GSM Arena!

Although I did not participate in the competition, I think it's a bit of a let down there is no outright winner. So many superb pictures were sent in and I was just dying to know who would turn out to be the lucky winner of that gorgeous N73 starprize. Somehow the lack of a first place entry dampens the enthusiasm and I just hope it does not impact negatively on the impression future contests. Again it would have been useful tohave been given details of all camera phones used for the winning entries. Overall however, this is one laudable and credible concept brilliantly executed. Well done GSM Arena and congratulations to all winners.

Sorry, but I`ve just must let You know; You suck!
No first Prize?!? Ok, if it is allready so, You should at least explain what was your Idea or Vision of ideal Holiday photo!
I`ve had two photos entering the great final of 35 photos, but please understand me - I`m not disappointed, becouse none of mine photos were announced as a winner photo, but no first plase - oh, common! Get real People! There was to many photos, created with good level of originality and creativity.
Anyway, just the Idea was excelent, that`s why I expect some further photo contest in the Future.

Most times, it's not possible to explain why you like a photograph (or a painting, or drawing...). You can explain the technical merits of a photograph until you turn blue, and use every rule in the book, but sometimes there's another appeal behind the photograph-- one that's inexplicable.

Can gsmarena explain the technical and aesthetic aspects on the basis of which prizes were awarded? It would be very nice and certainly we all will come to know about many hidden techniques of photography and the best thing would be "the curosity of all as to how the winners were judged and why so many stunning stuff was down troddon and put in the basket!!!

uhm, it said composition is as important as the photo. all of those who won stated 1 sentence! probably, they just want to get popular of some sort. i mean, throwing a contest with no 1st prize?! they just wanted some visitors. more visitors.

Unfortunately, as i expected, my photo didn't even go to the shortlist. But I felt a little bit disappointed with the result. "Christmas" Dreaming deserved the 2nd prize for sure, great idea and photo, but the SE Z710 didn't deserve the 3rd prize! Nothing against the owner of that pic, it's just that there were a LOT of photos like the third place, so why THIS photo won and the others were forgotten. It's just that. But great contest, i liked a lot. Hugs from Brazil, GSMArena.
ps.: Later GMSArena could post articles about taking better photos with mobile phones, considering different environments, macro mode, light adjust, things like that. Cya.

Maybe, next time the contest should just be with any digital camera. It'd level the playing field a bit. Because it's true-- no matter how much you try to be "fair", it's much easier to be creative with a technically better camera phone... things like colour and texture just won't come through from a poorer quality camera.

Something's terribly is wrong with this contest...It clearly state that it's based on “originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit”....but as everyone can see...the gsmarena team did not judge according to contest guidelines...another factor to consider is that most of the selected photo is taken with phone with relatively good or great cameras...It's the camera that's making the winner, and not the artist ....I'm very disappointed in the gsmarena team and the result.

the contest was a waste of time. i think entry 632 is original enough and the chirstmas balls by the beach was great
