20 January 2015
In a lot of ways the HTC Desire 820 is the natural continuation of the mid-range handset line and can be considered more or less an upgraded version of the Desire 816. It is a solid device on its own...

Sony doesn't carry the sound quality of their mp3 players to the smartphone business and the volume output of their smartphones are really unacceptable, even much lower than Samsung. Still Htc, Meizu and even The Fruit are probably the best in this department.

There is a high chance you have a defective unit, htc claims 22 hours of 3g talk, they cant be so wrong, its 14 hours in your test, the octacore BIG.little architecture is supposed to consume less, not more than a regular snapdragon 400, also from many reviews from well established sites the battery endurance was rated on par if not a little bit better than the htc desire 816

Low range device. Poor non-removable battery, no sound quality...why would anyone buy it? HTC keeps scaming people with crappy devices, expecting them to replace them as soon as new crappy device comes out. Nah, thanks, not gonna happen

Did own one, when it was launched in India.
Not a technical person but an enthusiast. Downloaded one my favorite games which i use to enjoy on Nokia "Sky Force", the phone use to heat upto 41 degrees within 10 min of gaming which was such a turn off from HTC, who said upto 47 degree is acceptable as per HTC standards but refuse to put that on paper.....
Overall the phone was handy but over priced with the competition around

Non-replacable battery. Small 2,600mAh battery. Avoid.
