Samsung Galaxy A5 and A5 Duos review: Five star

30 January 2015
Samsung's newly found love for “premium build” is spilling down the ranks and if the new A-series get half the love and attention the S-line has been getting, it will be a job well done. The Koreans are right to try and stir things up in the midrange...

For the specs given it is expensive for Indian market. I would rather wait for the price to ne down for this phone.

I tried this phone out, I'd it's OK, I really don't like the back's finishing, it feels like a rubber coated metal, and for the price tag, putting a Snapdragon 615 would be a lot better. I'd honestly would've gone for the Alpha instead because the price tag isn't any further from the A5, and the Alpha features removable battery, fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor.

i am feel all mobile phone from samsung is same same about design. i don't see any news point about design for galaxy range. although, i also see samsung using metal body for mobile phone instead plastics as before

Premium build is the way to go.
Any specs are quickly outdated, but solid build quality lasts.

finally. After years of battering, Samsung gives us something with a premium build. At least the Samsung fanboys now have an option for a premium build quality handset. ;)

Anonymous, 02 Feb 2015Well i experienced dead batteries on other gadgets (2 noteb... moreNo you didn't get me
                    I don't have iphone 4 ..
                    I repair phones mostly ip5 ip5s..
What I wanted to say ppl get mobiles on contract for two years and they not bother with some batteries.. after two years they will get new phone and that's it..
If something happens accidents.. water dmg or batt swells .. then ppl want replacement
I only replace batt. when I purchase faulty iphone repair it and will check battery with Battery Life app great app shows me what capacity batt has..
Thing is ppl selling their old phones and always saying in description ; battery is bad or stay last after two years of using etc.. So I buy new batt for fiver.. and all sorted..

AnonD-89109, 01 Feb 2015Pearl white finish could be too feminine? What stupid kind ... moreBut isnt a little too feminine and a little less masculine same as debating if a glass is half filled or half empty with water? Nonetheless the build is good, hopefully samsung can adjust the pricing a little better to attract more buyers.

Hows the sound quality of this fn? While on earphn? According to GSMarena review it's not good enough on earphn? Is that true? There's no reason samsung would make this much of a big mistake. Any user plz let me know abt this issue.

AnonD-142922, 01 Feb 2015No I NEVER purchased battery in my life.. why my batt. wud ... moreWell i experienced dead batteries on other gadgets (2 notebooks and 2 fones) and for me having that extra battery is really good. U said your fone is iphone 4 upto 5s right? If you check the span of releases of those fones are about a year each. Meaning if you replaced a fone with the next model, you never experienced battery wearing coz u only got the fone 1.5years at max. Unless you used the 4 fones upto now that is.

And besides, all my gadgets batteries started wearing down when they reached 3 years of heavy usage. So basically if i had an extra battery to swap with my fone battery, i could double the lifespan of my fone thus i could save a lot if i dont intend to change my fone or use it as a secondary fone. I got samsung ch@t e222 model 3years ago and my battery still lasts upto 2days. I dont even own an extra battery for it and now i need to buy one coz my battery is failing. But my fone still stands. If my ch@t222 had no replacable battery, i would look like a modern day army radioman with my fone always connected to a powerbank, and the powerbank is even more expensive than my fone. Get my point?

I am a male, and I love both White and Black equally. Try to be a less masculine I suppose?

The back cover is ugly. and for the money, you can buy oneplus one, xperia z ultra, or if you don't mind, 2nd hand LG G2, Galaxy Note 3.

with such low specs and high price.. i keep looking at the other side..
