Samsung Galaxy S6 review: Subject Zero

13 March 2015
Choose one word to describe the Samsung Galaxy S6. Gorgeous. Powerful. Special. Different. Thank you. That will do. Galaxy S5 has only one of these under its belt and hint... it starts with a P.

[deleted post]How much variation do you expect between pre-release and official release?
      5/10%.
Based on s5 pre-release review here on gsm i expect this is an honest review of what official release S6 will be like.

AnonD-141651, 17 Mar 2015The only downside of this phone for me is the QHD display. ... moreqHD resolution on AMOLED does not use any more battery than 1080p resolution as each individual pixels use less power to emit light due to their smaller size.

Combine that with the most power efficient 14nm SoC, DDR4 RAM and UFS 2.0 storage, it's a given that S6 should be one of the most (if not the most) power efficient top-end phone currently announced.

[deleted post]No one can recommend you unbiased site.
All the popular sites are created or overtaken by the Apple's propaganda team. That was the legacy of St.Jobs and his "thermonuclear". LOL. Even now, if some new tech blog get a little popular they overtake it, too.
Ironically even the sites named "Android..blah" and SamMobile are created by apple's shills , to fight from the back. If there are few independent , they are US PATRIOTS and of course bashing Samsung. Otherwise you must read German, but Apple blacklisted them.LOL

Galaxy S6 wipes the floor with iPhone6 and 6 Plus, in every and each department. Even with this pre-release device that GSMA "reviewed". And you know it. Shall I mention all the points?
After the release of S6 and first optimization updates will have the best battery life on the market.

The iPhone 6 did surprisingly well compared to the S6. The OIS definitely helps in low light and I have seen similar results between the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6+, which does have OIS.

So, the S6 seems to have come to match the iPhone 6+ it seems, which in my experience had the best camera on the market so far.

The S6 seems to have remedied the biggest shortcoming of the S5, which was its poor dynamic range. I am happy to see Samsung finally bring a top notch camera to market.

The only downside of this phone for me is the QHD display. It's not really needed. 1080 would still be a great display and will make better battery life.

If it was alu... moreOn the metal side, Samsung is using high-strength 6013 aluminum alloy instead of the more common 6063 aluminum alloy. 6013 is an aerospace alloy designed to be much stronger for use in aircrafts fuselage panels, yachts, and mountain bikes and is 1.5x stronger and 1.2x scratch resistant than 6063 aluminum alloy.

But bashing the battery life of pre-released S6 device is PATHETIC.
Even now S6 battery life is better than iPhone 6 , so imagine what will be after the release and first optimization updates.

I hope they'll improve battery life. At least 70h endurance, 9h web browsing with final firmware. Current results are unacceptable.

Wasnt comparing z3 to s6 but xperia flagships to samsung flagships.
The comparison was in ui fluidity and responsivness which s6 just as any samsung lacks...its TWizz after all

Oh God, hope Samsung will keep their good work continue until Note 5, I am expecting 8 hours screen on time then.
