Samsung Galaxy S6 review: Subject Zero

13 March 2015
Choose one word to describe the Samsung Galaxy S6. Gorgeous. Powerful. Special. Different. Thank you. That will do. Galaxy S5 has only one of these under its belt and hint... it starts with a P.

Good Review! Missing Low light photography though... Samsung kind of knew battery would be somewhat less that is why they promoted charging times and power banks. Storage is a bit of a problem, but they want to make money.

AnonD-213026, 13 Mar 2015somewhat disappointed with the battery life. although to be... moreI'm actually shocked at the battery life. By all accounts it should be a lot better. More efficient soc, display, ram, memory, and radio chip. And the battery is only 250mah smaller. Yet the battery life takes a 20h rating hit.
      What's the culprit?

And the speaker too. Samsung claimed it's 50% louder and I saw a video comparing how much louder than the S5 it was. And it definitely was.
Yet here it's quieter??? Although supposedly a lot cleaner.

And taking away batch options in the gallery is very foolish.

These comments are full of whiney babies.

It has the ability to quick charge which after 10 minutes will give you hours of use.

Personalyl not fussed about non-removeable battery and no microsd card slot. I've got a 16gb S4 and a 32GB microsd card and I still have a collective of 6GB of storage space left. That's with hundreds of photos, hours upon hours of music at least 60x 2 hour long 200mb files of music.

Only 2 games on ym phoen I really play which is pretty much 5 minutes a week because mobile gaming for me isn't important. Those who feel the need to put movies on their phones remember you can delete them after viewing them. Storage issues SOLVED!

All I hear is complaint after complaint for problems that are easily fixed. People need to wake up to themselves and stop making excuses. 64GB is more than enough storage for people with 128gb tjhey don't know what to do.

Those who sit here and say I NEED A 64GB SD Card on top of my storage... Grab the 128gb: PROBLEM SOLVED.

Seriously unless you put movies and tv shows on there that you'll delete after viewing them what else is on that phone....

I would take the Note 4 over S6 anytime. MicroSD is a must in the android world. I have so much movies and music, and it's so much easier to transfer by connecting the micro sd to the computer directly. I'll pass on the S6 and hope that they don't make the same mistake with the Note 5, which is only a few months away, with flagship specs of 2015.

its a good phone on paper but in reality its not that great:
1.amoleds-inevitable burning color shifting,(why do you think they use pentile matrix?),people just dont know because they are blinded by a great wepon caled marketing
2.all glass body: i will never trust an all glas body, just go on xda on all sony z series to see the fact off all glas body
3.batery is quite small i guarantee that with moderate usage it will barely last 1 day.
3.useless 2k display just for marketing purpose.

but thinking about it again, even with a powerful processor and QHD, it's still better than the lg g flex 2 in terms of battery life. i guess that's perspective for you, but i still expected better after the performance of the note 4.

Galaxy S6 is the best device launched in 2015 and one of the best ever launched, but battery life... :(

                      puts him at bottom.

Samsung should understand, even with these small, very small(14nm) cpus still need power and 2550 mAh battery is a joke in 2015.

consider al the new tech they put, bat life is average, yes i agree, note 4 is still the best of all.

felt samsung was losing the game until it launched these power packed beauties n i m pretty damn sure they'll break some records.. my personal favorite is the edge one

somewhat disappointed with the battery life. although to be fair, the capacity is pretty small and it still managed an above average life. still though, if compared to the note 4, a 64h endurance rating is low, even after considering the latter has a 3220mah battery.

Everything about the S6 is great exception for:

                                        - The front is too reflective. It should be matte.

                                        - The camera bump is too pronounced and should have more of a taper.

Fix those two design decisions and it'll be perfect.
