19 March 2015
A quality camera has always been a big part of Galaxy flagships and Samsung is pushing new improvements every six months. The two-step cadence goes Galaxy S then Note then S again – we're at the Galaxy S6 step of this cycle and...

Pretty nice. Some comments on focus could be nice. Also.. they capture 2160p at 48Mbps, not kbps.

And it doesnt mean iPhone 6 plus might not use OIS is video makes it ineligible for the shootout or because the smaller 6 is more popular.

Well anyways, no matter what the reason is, its up to the editorial team. Only one thing I should say is every new article posted in this site lessen their credibility for me. Everything pros samsung is screamed out loud while other brands cons are always loudly cried out.

You folks win an award for this excellent follow up. Perhaps you can review how well the auto focus object tracking works.

What I love about Samsung is they bring out the S6, and the price of the S5 drops by a considerable margin, making it a worthwhile purchase. However, if the Note 5 is around the corner, even better. In Australia we are now setting the Note 4 Carrier deals going down, with more to come. Only then is it worthwhile to buy. Sorry off topic. Of course excellent hardware Samsung, as usual. They are to be congratulated. I agree the iPhone plus should have been the comparison. Great report.

AnonD-314503, 19 Mar 2015Somewhat right. Only S6 camera is properly elaborated. Not ... moreTrue but iPhone Plus has OIS only on stills, I think the review does it this way for ease of assimilation, if iPhone 6 Plus had OIS on video I have no doubt this would have been included thus reviewing iPhone 6 (without Plus) also makes more sense considering is the one that it probably sells better, sum that to the previous reason and it just makes sense. Not saying it couldn't have been included but consider this is just pre-release reviews for the Galaxy S6. You will find what you want somewhere.

Plus probably there are other reasons why this wasn't included, but I think we have to understand that just not everybody wants or understands (leading to site traffic matter) 100% scientific tests. I think 90% is ok, and way more than we would get in any other site. Sure there is a margin to improve, but GSMArena is nothing but improving in last years I would say. I have no idea how much more difficult if would be to compare real life phone specs if I didn't know this site. That been said, props to GSMArena for doing a great job and to keep it up and hopefully get better. They will have absolutely no competition if so. With the years, thats for sure.

Why post a comparison with the iPhone 6 and not the 6 Plus? If you're going to compare what each top-of-the-line phones have to offer at least make it a fair comparison.

Dear gsmarena, i simply can't understand, why in this camera shootout you bring iPhone 6 not 6 plus? :) It's a joke, if you ask me, everybody knows that in bad lighting conditions it's works way better than 6 without plus :) I'm not apple fanboy, but it's seems that you want to see Samsung camera as a winner :)

Wow Iphone 6 camera looks low res washed out and full of noise, compared to Note 4 and S6,

Galaxy s6 has awesome camera! I think its the best camera on a smartphone.

always the same. nothing new. for everyday usage the pictures taken with these phones are the same as pictures taken with smartphones 3 years ago. as long as nothing changes in how the camera can be operated (manual mode like shutter speed etc.) in specific difficult situations (night etc.), there's nothing to write about.
