AnonD-338467, 20 Jun 2015Most of Blackberry and LG ex-users don't agree with you..Well Samsung by its own admission is loosing market share mainly to the Chinese manufactures in China, and now elsewhere. In fact all manufacturers are, but Samsung is experiencing the greatest lost. I really dont know what all the hype is about Android. The personal and business experience is better on the Blackberry. OK if you want to play games all day then Android is the way to go. You can get lost in a game and help the game makers become rich while you are poor. BB has superior Hub centre, better email client, better security (now more important than ever)better signal strength and better battery life. OK the screens could be better but I am not interested in playing games. I dont have the mobile grafted to my eye balls playing games. Camera is good enough though the S5 was excellent.

Honestly, to me both these phones are a disappointment in one way or another. For example, LG G4 has increased thickness but same battery as G3, even worse its battery timing is poorer than G3 despite having latest Android iteration and a processor LG claims they spent a whole year optimising it. They should (could) have at least avoided that camera hump with increased thickness but they didn't. I seriously don't see any practical usage to this thick design except better handling but no body complained about G3's handling to begin with. Also, again, I would happily get an 11 mm thick phone only if it brought some real practical usage or hardware feature, say a bigger battery , but in G4's case, its a No No from me. What the hell were they doing in past 1 year optimising it with Qualcomm's 808 processor if they couldn't at least increased screen brightness?
Now on Samsung side, WHO THE HELL ASKED YOU TO MAKE THIS UGLY THIN SLAB WHICH HAS NO PRACTICAL USABILITY FOR ITS THIN SIZE? I mean seriously, just imagine, what a beast Samsung could have achieved by making it a bit thicker, to have a 3000 mah battery, that way camera hump would have also been avoided or at least reduced, a 1080p display with even more contrast and brightness ( I repeat 1080p is perfect for me to the size of 6.4, why do we need QHD for 5 inches display?) and IP rating intact? My oh my. Also, how hard it was for Sammy to make it with FM radio and 64gb base storage? OK 64 GB base storage may be too much to ask for but at least FM radio wasn't unachievable.
So both have lesser battery timings compared to their predecessors, taller bodies, less degree of protection and even poorer innovation, then give me 1 good solid reason how LG G4 is an upgrade over G3 or Galaxy S6 over S5? Especially G4 is a downgrade in every way if you take 32 GB variant of G3 into consideration

Read the comment again. G2 had a lot of popularity, the reason for was that Samsung's awful TouchWiz implementation, with S4. But that doesn't take it from the "fact" that G2 still was a midrange phone. S4 was not, it was better than G2, but what was the point of it when the software was awful? So G2 succeeded.
Now TouchWiz is utterly different with LP, so G4, well sorry, LG will have tough time selling it, but they are fortunate to have more dumb fanboys than Samsung.
In any case, comparing LG with Samsung is just like comparing Apples with Oranges. Can't be done.

If so, then the S6 is the new S4 while the G4 replaces the G2.

Kind of interesting that in the review here G4 is better at dynamic range where that has been a clear lacking along with proper exposure. So even some night shots of more open areas that needed more exposure work came out ahead on the S6.
Unless LG updated it's camera tuning for dynamic range in one of the recent updates
Though while gsm says this the results clearly look a tad more murky on the G4.

That's a FACT. Maybe those are flagship phones for the OnePlus One kinds, but for any Samsung, HTC or Sony owners these are midrange phones coming at flagship prices.
Deal with it.

i)Maybe it's just me or it could be because the LG unit is black and the iPhone and Samsung units are white but the colors on the LG look punchier on the 1st page side-by-side pic.
ii)I don't think the Heart rate and blood-oxygen (SpO2) sensor is really a one upper feature to be listed here.
iii) Shouldn't the wider camera lens (with potential for better pics in low light conditions *on paper at least*) be listed for the LG?
iii) I still think Audio Manager App is the best way to hide stuff. It looks like a normal app, you can create a false password for access to the app *sort of like a double bluff for someone who knows about the app*
iv)On page 2 the selfie camera section has close-up pics of the phones, if you look closely at the Samsung S6 Flat "Mon, March 9" the O and A have "discoloration" within them anybody know what's causing that? It's got me a bit worried.
v)I skipped on the S4 and S5. My S3 is so old the innards would crumble to dust if I opened it up lol. I would really like to get the S6, I'm just worried it might not live up to the 3 and a Half bar set by my S3.
vi) The last LG I owned was the Optimus Black, it was also my 1st IPS LCD powered phone and at 700 nits it was the best then. I have always had a hope for IPS screens taking over since then so maybe my opinion is a bit biased to wards LG here.
