Lenovo Lolipop plan :

in 10inch are best: 3rd tabS 10.5 + Z4, 2nd note 10+12+tabs from apple 2014, first I would add asus transformer tf701t as oldest but with best endurance, awesome screen + keyboard and memory possibilities... its like nokia 808 in tablet world. Shame is its hard to get one, but to not mention those ones, what are you thinking?

Asus Memo Pad 7 is crap... horrible firmware update, lags, bugs, freezes... total disaster, only good thing is battery life and the display (indoor).

witiwew, 19 Jul 2015iPad air 2 all the way..I do have it. But it lacks lots of tablet apps. Android apps are mostly universal, while iOS mostly separated with most phone only.

iPad air 2 all the way..

Asus Fonepad 7 is now on Android 5.0 works well, thought updating from Jellybean to KitKat was ok but now on Android 5.0 was unexpected. can be handy as a speaker phone
and has been very reliable with good battery life, and a bargain at price paid.

I don't get why there is no mention of the Galaxy Tab S series, in gsm arenas own review of tab s it essentially says it's the best option with AMOLED etc, plus the price point is way down in many retailers now so it's really competitive.....

Where's the Mi Pad? I'am a proud owner of the said tablet and a nexus 7 2013 and I can say based on hand-on experience that the Xiaomi-branded tablet outperform the Google and Asus' tablet in gaming and functionality. The Xiaomi Mi Pad deserves a spot in this list.

So there we have it: the sole redeeming value of Microsoft's purchase of Nokia is that 4 years later, the third world has come to defend Windows in the mobile space.

dukaki, 18 Jul 2015I don't know if wp apps as they are right now will work on ... moream not talking about desktop or legacy app, am talking about touch apps developed for windows rt and windows 8. lats time there were about 200,000 apps.

example of these apps are fifa 2015 (touch), asphalt 8, skull of shougan, mail app, bing software packages etc.

these are some of reason which made windows as best choice for tablet
                                  1. you can emulate android, with emulator like ami duos emulation of android is preety fast
                                  2. true multitasking- windows tablets multitasking is better than android and ios offering
3.split screen of windows works well (due to well optimized multitasking)
4.if you plug mouse and keyboard it become laptop
                                  5. it works with desktop/laptop peripheral like printer, webcam, mic etc
                                  6. full browser which can replace million of apps
                                  7. they are powerfull and cheap, for around $150 you can get one with 2gb and 32gb memory from manufacture like asus and lenovo. while you get perfomance of android flagship
8.good for emulation, dolphin and ps2 emulator are playable in baytrail/cherry trail while android/ios cant play them (except nvidia console can somehow play dolphin)
9.good for offline usage, with android/ios to do work you need internet while windows is famous for offline usage.
10.maturity, with windows you can buy device and live with it for years, first windows 8 build was introduced 2011, latest android version at that time was android 2.3 gingerbread. in today standard if you run android 2.3 you are outdated but if you run windows 8 you are still relevant.

GSMArena who defined tablets and said they must be running a mobile Os? You featured galaxy tab 12.2 but not the surface 3 ??? Bcos its more useful!

The reason you gave is the same reason why Blackberry failed in the past All smartphones must have keyboard Apple announced the iphone that's not a phone its a small tablet right? OK

I really think Windows tablets should be included it's a choice anyway and can do much more than current IOS and Android tablets i think it's reasonable to pay price of an iPad air 2 which can't reach its limits even after couple of years for a Windows tablet that have much more capabilities If the purpose of current tablets are multimedia and web surfing then tablets like air 2 and nexus 9 are completely useless and should not be included at all.
