Ear piece and Loudspeaker clarity and loudness quality? Ear piece is very important here. Please post some decibel levels with comparison to Z3 or iPhone.

Beautiful phones from sony, pure elegant design. I own Z2 and it is perfect for my needs. I am happy sony goes on with such great devices. I am sony customer for long time. Samsung phones are also good, but they should change designer.

Anonymous, 04 Sep 2015Isn't Sony's steadyshot already superior to ois? Why downgrade?Steadyshot as described here, is optical image stabilization, as it move the optics. But it's only described in the video section.
Either GSMarena is wrong and it doesnt have that type of stabilization.
Or it can only focus on a smaller part of the sensor, so Sony only decided to implement it on video recording.
But OIS is usefull on still images as well, so I don't see why Sony then didn't allow for it to be used for stills as well, in a special lowlight mode. I would rather have an OIS lowlight mode, with smaller field of view than not having OIS at all for stills.

MrGenie, 04 Sep 2015The Question that rises and demands answering from Sony....... moreI havent seen this in real life, so I don't know, if you can still see color noise, and space between pixels.
But you can on the Z3's 1080p screen at 5.2 inch.
And you can see it on the LG G3's and LG G4's QHD displays.

Sony seemed to found a solution for the heating problem of the SD 810 like posted in the article about the teardown of the premium model. If this is also adapted in the smaller models it might be a great surprise. Anyhow the first benchmarks were quite promising and there was no word about overheating. And higher heat has always impact on battery life. I'm really curious about more reviews. As for me the z5c is a great successor for my z3c cos they improved everything what I can complain about.

the truth, 05 Sep 2015hey is sony producing Bricks now? :)) They are all thick a... moreThe Xperia SP is a much cooler design than the slab sided z5 compact and z3 compact for the same size phone;even though it is a bit thicker overall the curved back means it has narrower side rails that make it look slimmer and there is a small gap to the surface it sits on making it easy to pick up. Also the matte plastic back means no messy fingerprints.

Sorry GSMARENA, but I'd rather have an 8.9mm phone which has a proper sized battery in relation to the screen size.

i really wish the compact or the premium came in the green that the regular z5 comes in! as the compact and premium are the most appealing of the Z5s :/

The only few arguments I have is that the z5 premium is not as thick as my z ultra, no magnetic charging, size and why did Sony opt for USB type A instead of type C? I hope that Sony still opt for a true successor of the z ultra. Which the z5 premium actually is not. But nevertheless if Sony doesn't create a successor of the z ultra I'll go with the z5 premium! Just because it's the closest to the z ultra!

Z5 Compact is far more the BEST phone on the market.
I miss the OIS, and the 3 GB RAM, but this phone is the BEST right now. Not as good to change my Z1 Compact, but if I have to change my phone, Sony Z Compact is the only option.
