LG V10 review: Screen play

2 November, 2015
There's quite a lot to the LG V10 – a flagship, a phablet, a camera phone, a rugged phone, a Hi-Fi phone and the first of the new V-series. It's a feature-packed device and its signature feature is the secondary always-on display and a dual selfie camera.

Every review i watched on YouTube the g4 had a better battery life than the s6.Same in the case of note 5.both Samsung devices had worse battery lives than g4. Wonder if its the same with the v10.
Nothing to complain about this phone. Its actually a 5.9" device so the size is ok and the added weight must be due to the heavier frame.

If you watch any 2k or 4k video on youtube set in 1440 resolution the video will freeze and all you get is sound. Funny no one noticed this since it is a 2k phone.

Why does the EU handset come with earbuds but the US version doesn't? Lame.

                The review is good though.
Needs fix in the video camera area.

One big problem with the LG phones and their tiny bezels is that you can't use a case along with a tempered glass screen protector, as there is no room for them. The case ends up pushing on the tempered glass.

Interesting, According to audio graph, V10 is cuts frequencies above 16 kHz.

Strange behavior for a Hi-Fi Device.

I just picked up this phone for TMO. The phone is great. Only negative is the battery life but how can you complain when LG is giving you an extra battery, 200gb micro sd and charging cradle for free. Best deal on the market v

                          Thank you for the review.

V10 is a step into the good direction. Better than other Cos., but the size, weight and battery life is the reason that I won't buy it.

                          LG, please bring us a 5" + second+display phone with 3000mah removable battery + SD + 820 chip.

Great honest review! I think you must have done a mistake in the audio part though. Your findings disagree with audio reviews in audiophile websites and forums. Are you sure you were testing with the ESS on?

Hopefully we'll see s 5" SD820 version in Q1. That would almost certainly be my next phone, as long as they keep the swappable battery/microSD card. I'd _really_ love for them to add wireless charging & USB Type-C, though.

That's one really encouraging review. Totally satisfied. My only gripes with V-10 are that why and how they couldn't put a bigger battery in such a huge body when Huawei could fix a large battery in overall thinner and smaller Nexus 6P? Also, omission of FM Radio is a bummer too when they are talking so much about sound and music (before talking about online music streaming apps, please do note that the place where I live, internet is still very costly and signals are sick, and I just prefer FM Radio over any other Music streaming app). The height is a bit of a killer too, but not by much considering its merely 0.3 mm taller than Nexus 6P.
Most surprising fact is that at no point GSMArena, not even LG has claimed anything about that self-healing Dura Skin. Yes, you heard it right. Its almost the same idea as LG G Flex, i.e, if by mistake you scratch the back of your V-10, it will start healing in almost 10 minutes, and minor scratches will disappear completely in 10-12 hours. That's seriously a HUUUGE selling and buying point for me. I wonder why LG didn't talk about it at all?

Sorry GSMArena, my bad. Just read this line, and got my answer.
"There's no FM radio though, huh."
