Samsung Gear S2 review: Shifting gears around

4 November, 2015
Samsung is definitely a veteran on the smartwatch scene, perhaps even more so than LG. The Korean giant has already done a few experiments in the field, some of which arguably quite successful, but the Gear S2 might just be the biggest one yet.

It's like complaining that a smartphone has to be charged daily when the original telephone had no such need. Especially considering how simple it is to charge a watch like the S2, it comes stock with a magnetic wireless dock. Doesn't get any easier than that for charging.

And you thought 3D touch is so advanced?? You should be ashamed of your shallow puddle knowledge

Isn't this what this discussion is all about? Who did it first? And why would they take that function out? It won't be hard to implement Air View and the force sensors.

At least Samsung is using a different technology for the 3D Force or whatever they wanna call it as per their patent. Apple straight up blatantly took a whole function and called it "peek-and-pop" as if it's a new thing. They replaced long press with force differential press and called it "menu". Some innovation that is...

And sure as hell not limited by application/ecosystem (which btw doesn't even make sense). They just didn't distribute it to 3rd party developers to use it. It was kind of silly on their part, but they needed it private to have a competitive edge among the Androids. They won the wrong battle in this regard, because Sony and Nokia at the time had the same ideas too.
