They can't use any new tech directly "just to be first" unlike Apple which has total control on both hardware and OS (and then ecosystem).
They would just toss some money around and make even less profit than usual on something poorly or mostly unusable as simple as that. It's pure maths.

I don't know for their watches but on Samsung phones you can use whatever you want between the 2 of them.

There are some misses with this device. Samsung S Voice has mostly failed for me so far, and has been at a 50% success rate with voice actions. My Sony AndroidWear Watch, on the other hand, has about a 90ish% success rate.

A very fine watch indeed. This, along with LG Watch Urbane 2 and Huawei Watch, are extremely tempting!! Alas, $350 is quite a mouthful for me so will wait for some cool deals to drop by soon.
Nonetheless, applaud the work Samsung has done with their constant reinvention of devices all together. As the famous saying goes, Change is the only Constant in life!

hovering != pressing. learn some basics. airview is useless features. it works sometimes, like all samsung gimmicky features. its not perfect at all. and heard samsung is introducing force touch on their s7. lol keep copying.

The features of 3d touch, quick settings and preview, were an exact copy of the features of air view.
They copied power saving mode too
They copied larger phones
They copied phablets, but couldnt do it without making it heavier and bigger with a lower screen size.
They copied the hardware design (where the power button is, headphone jack, etc.)
They copied the s-pen.
Multitasking, but they couldn't do it properly.
And that's just from Samsung.
And stop being ridiculous. If they had put the fingerprint scanner on the side you would obviously be saying their copying moto. Its easier to put it on the front because you have more space anyway.
And in regards to smart watches, normal watches are circle, normal phones are square. I can only hope you're trolling when mentioning either one.
Samsung innovates, Apple follows the market trend. Their one innovation of their own since 2010 was 3d touch, and the best they could manage was copying Samsung's features.
