AnonD-416152, 22 Feb 2016S7 have amoled display and always display .big problem it i... more"Always","Never", and other words that imply infinite permanence, or quite often impossible by their very definition.
Whenever I see statements using such infinite intentions I question their validity.
The only OLED screens I have had issue with, are, my second hand Nexus S, and a refurbished Motorola RAZR M.
The Nexus S being very old, and having had a lot of screen on time (and being a fairly early gen OLED) can hold an image that has been on screen as a ghost for a half second when the screen changes.
We are talking serious effort to 'etch' is required.
The RAZR, which was around my twentieth OLED screen since the tech launched, was bought a couple of months ago, refurbished, and I can admit, I have no clue what it's' story is... But it retains the edges of high contrast images sometimes for a wee bit.
To be fair I use it as a Logitech arx remote screen to show cpu,gpu and ram usage on my PC, which when turned off, a giant 'white' error message appears middle of screen and will hover there forever.
And it hasn't as yet showed any long term issue.
My plasma, the last generation Panasonic, retains images far worse (and it is considered a 'non-issue' by plasma TVs standards)
LCDs are not immune to this same effect. We are talking stupid usage scenarios that are not the norm,.. But to return to my first statement, my usage isn't your usage, your mileage may vary, and I have no doubt in a world as large as ours, examples can be found to prove almost anything.
Will the S7 screen have issues?
I doubt it.
And, an over cautious Samsung might have the 'static' readout refresh in different places, like pixel orbiters and other such tech that tvs have to help avoid "burn in".
I gather forums can be used to educate others, though I highly doubt you will convince me, as earlier OLEDS may have had weaknesses, but Samsung are so far beyond 'early OLEDs' now.
In fact my last couple of top tier OLED panels have been works of art, and the screen technology I most look forward to seeing developed further.
I only bought my plasma as a stop gap until OLEDs become available at reasonable price points (I don't really watch much TV, and do not justify $6-$8k for a casual set).
Anyhow Samsung flagship OLEDs are pretty much the height of screen tech, so let's try and stop spreading fudge...

non-removable battery = Samsung never learned.
look what happened to HTC and Sony.
both insist on implementing non-removable battery for their flagship phones, and both suffer on low sales.
and now Samsung is going that way.

Looks trivial, like a mobile phone produced by a no-name company. As electronic components, specify only the screen and processor are out of date. Otherwise nothing impressive.

Such a huge disappointment....Samsung is apparently not allowing adoptable storage, meaning that everyone in Europe will be stuck with 32 gb minus whatever is reserved for the OS.
Well, I was very close to buying my first ever Samsung phone.

Plus extremely fast focus which helps any situation get better clarity. And more than likely improved image processing.
So that will help any situation including daylight.

A jumble of components in style Samsung. The only things of value, supeamoled screen and processor Snapdragon. As for the rest fiasco. And the design is one fail.

Backfocus? On sample images, especially ones with the euro note and Sony camera, focus seems to be behind subject.

-12Mp(going again through my shots - all in daylight so lowlight performance meaningless)
-sdslot,32GB,IPXX,great looks&fast usability -nothing new for Z4,Z5 users
-Spay meaningless for part of users(availability)
+better battery performance(well everyone get S820 and its better than 810)
=Hard to expect something better to the end of year after loking at last year. I Am sure rivals will come out from hiding now.

ithehappy, 21 Feb 2016No, but the point is they will have to eventually ditch the... moreIt wont be because you called it, it will happen because they will run out of ideas to incorporate glass into their devices. The started with plastic, then the glossy finish, then the faux leather finish, then the dotted pattern and now into glass. The world evolves and they will eventually switch, not because its a failure. S6 was a revolutionary design for samsung and its pretty darn good. Look what it has done to the A series. And yes, in time, the will move away from glass too. Lg had a whole speech last year about how they believed real leather was the thing of the future or premium feel, and look what they put out this year. Every company does it and will keep on doing it. HTC went back to plastic/polycarbonate whatever it is now, but its not the metal of M7 (which I believe was a successful desgin). All things come to an end.

Aki, 22 Feb 2016Games on galaxy s6 are scaled down to 1080p...You actually have a choice to manage resolution and all in a galaxy flagship, thanks to software samsung has for its devices :P
