I don't know of any such site that does that and posts the results. But my experience stands as true. The issue very rarely occurred on my Z3 though. And watching YouTube videos with that setup (MicroUSB) was not an issue at all.
Oh I know. I stated that the 3.5mm port did actually work fine on the S7 (as well as Z3). I don't know if I agree that they competition is better though. For example, when I had my M8, which I loved too, there were some songs by the band Interpol that when I played them, I had to use a certain customized EQ to make it sound good. But on the Z3, I just used the standard "Rock" preset on my Poweramp app and everything sounded great! (I since then no longer use any EQ at all as I feel the sound quality is better without it.) And again, my Z3 was able to match a $200 portable amp/DAC, so I really can't agree that the others were any better. Maybe about equal? I don't know. I just know that I can't wait to get to having a Sony phone again.

BTW I never said the 3.5mm jack doesn't work ok on a Sony. It does great. All I'm saying is the competition has far better audio quality than most Sony sets, like HTC, Apple, Samsung, etc...

The 3.5mm port does work fine, but the trend (see upcoming Apple iPhone) is to get rid of that 3.5mm port and just use the Micro USB port for music. So Samsung should already have perfected this as Sony had. When I had my Z3 (before S7), the hiccups were a VERY rare occurrence.
But for the present, I only listen to the 3.5mm port in my car. At home, I hook up my phone to the portable amp/DAC via Micro USB, which then that device connects to my headphones. This setup again worked fine on my M8 and Z3, but not on the S7 Edge or S7. So for me I guess it's just hard to agree that the headphone audio is great b/c it's only so if you use the 3.5mm port, which I no longer do. I pay good money for my headphones and Hi-Res music, so the amp/DAC on a smartphone (even Sony's) isn't quite enough for me anymore.
I agree for the most part that Sony is not really much better than the rest when using the 3.5mm port, but actually, I recall about a year and a half ago comparing it to the then $200 iBasso DX50 portable amp/DAC, and I could NOT tell a difference from it. It wasn't until I spent another $100 on the Sony Walkman A17 that I finally could. I think that says A LOT about Sony that even a $200 amp/DAC device couldn't outdo it.

I was talking in reference to output from 3.5mm jack for usage in home theatre systems, or headphones. I know S7's loudspeaker is below average, but I was always referring to 3.5mm jack. And that you can check if its any bad.
I rarely listen music via loudspeakers, so that's my criterion. Could differ from yours, no offence. I perfectly understand if you want a Sony phone for its size, waterproofing, speed/ UI, etc. or a combination of these... but we don't select a Sony for audio via 3.5 mm jack anymore, unless its an old Sony Ericsson like W950 or so...

Please dude......Samsung's audio is dogs*it compared to Sony's. Read my post below. I had the Z3 and now have the S7 and I CAN'T WAIT to sell this great but overrated phone for the X Performance!
Great phone overall, but man not a perfect phone..........1) Screen brightness is f'ing awful........ under heavy sunlight, forget it. Good luck seeing the screen. 2) The audio quality on this phone is a f'ing joke. The SINGLE speaker is garbage. Drum sounds render like someone's shooting a laser gun. lol Hook up an amp/DAC to it via Micro-USB to listen to music? POS (piece of sh*t) skips CONSTANTLY while I'm listening to music. YouTube videos with that set up? It gets like 10 times worse! 3) I HATE physical home buttons!!! Had an app that would make it so button worked like a virtual button, but app only works like 60-70% of the time. 4) Even though it downloads faster than my parents' Xperia Z1s (2014), I swear, when I'm jumping around from app to app or doing different things on homescreen, my parents' Z1s actually seems to run FASTER than the S7! WTF?!

no all people want small phone, many of the people dont care about single hand control or whatsoever, they just want big screen, many of my friend even using 7" tablet which support gsm as phone, people dont care

Sony phone ringtone are really bore like cheap chinese plastic phones. Blackberry Windows and iOS ringtones are good and standard

And again it is SONY who built the perfect phone.
I'm looking for a a phone having the following specs:
5" or smaller, LTE band 20, min 32 GB flash, MicroSD-Slot AND Dual-SIM and fingerprint-reader
I get 2 results: Xperia X and X Performance
Is it so hard to get those together that only sony can do it? Either the phones don't exist as a dual-sim version, or it's this crappy shared-slot or it's 5.5" and bigger or is missing LTE band 20.

ICE, 25 Feb 2016You still have such a great deal to learn. Most users have ... moreThat's a part of problem. Now People say sony's camera is not good enough or audio is not loud enough. But sony offers a lot of optimization based on personal preference.
For example, Sony's camera app offers control over iso & exposure whereas iPhone's does not.
So even if iphone woud take better pics with default camera setting, in sony camera U can toggle settings for different scenes & take good pics too.
But like U said, most people don't do personalization & want everything ready-made which makes sony's setup look bad when it actually isn't. so, that makes it kind of a cult brand of tech enthusiasts who will play with their phon settings to get the best out of it.
But, this does not reflect well on sales.

Comparatively, smaller iPhone is received better in USA.
So Sony cannot do well in Asia with small size & shoud target USA too.

Im glad sony keep focusing on 5inch screen, but personally i prefer a 4.7" one like xperia z3 compact. That one fit perfectly in hand and easy to use singlehandedly.
This is the reason sony didnt even try to sell in western world, why would they sell it to you if then can survive easily in eastern market.
