Sony Xperia X, X Performance and XA: Sony at MWC 2016

20 February, 2016
As most others focus on phablets, Sony showed the 5" market a lot of love with the new Xperia X series. The Xperia X Performance is essentially a Z-phone in disguise. Better yet, not even the Z5 has a brushed metal back.

The design of Xperia XA is quite beautiful. They should've used the same bezel-less-sides on the high-end models too.

When Sony will use Quad HD display in its Phones?? Though they reached till UHD last time with Z5 Premium... but even that was waste, renders everything at 1080p except 4K Videos... I think QHD is must in 2016 Premium Phones...

Xperia Xp ftw! That's what I found almost ideal in a cell phone. The only thing it misses to be ideal would be the ir blaster.

SONY has made this series X, for all tastes and desires. One more thing you have to understand those from SONY, the price should be fixed in honestly and correctly, not inflated.

Less screen size= less battery needed. Less resolution= less battery needed. Mediatek chip uses way less battery tan qualcomm hence...less battery needed... So no need to raise the capacity if you are using less battery.

A faulty USB-C can fry your equipment... and that's what will keep people away from it for the time being.

Although looking into that, it means double lifespan ie years before your battery degrades, not double battery life ie 4 days on a single charge. They say there is some battery life improvement but as yet unquantified. It also charges quicker but not sure how much quicker than fast charging on most new phones. This tech would have been good with a 3500 battery!

You can dance around this all you want, the standard is made and average people do like reversible connectors -- deal with it.
