24 February, 2016
This is why we love the MWC - some of the best phones of the year were announced almost side by side. Two of the headliners are the LG G5 and the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge and we know how heated the competition between G-series and Galaxy flagship can get.

I am telling this because I work in automotive industry and the manufacturers struggle to cut as much as possible, they consider that 5cents is huge ;)

And about the engines well... A Subaru impreza wrx sti or focus rs is no snail either ;) , don't compare a 150 bhp with a 400bhp.

Another example, if an app wants to process both input from the camera, mic, and user input and put it all together, this is where multi-core comes into play.

AnonD-166478, 29 Feb 2016Agree with that. But deciding to install heatpipes means it... moreFirst of all a stock v4 wont put out the same performance as a V8. That is impossible.

Second processors cant be viewed as Car engines. getting a car with a v4 to perform closely to a v8 involves weight reduction of the car mostly (along with mods to the engine). Which would mean the V4 isn't doing as much work as the v8 because the V8 will be pulling much more weight. So you really cant compare the 2 like that

third having heat pipes doesn't mean it is mandatory. Lowering heat = less power consumption. Remember Samsung S7 also Has S820 version too :). I am sure the LG will throttle more.

They could cut cost. But why? They can now brag about being the first phone with vapor chamber heatpipe.

But deciding to install heatpipes means it's mandatory to avoid throttling, otherwise they would cut the costs. Still a v8 engine will burn more gas than a v4 with similar performance. We shall see, until then it's just wild guesses.

Power consumption determines heat output. Samsung S7 also has superior cooling.

The greater MP count of the LG gives it a pretty clear advantage in detail in good light. Close ups of details in the cathedral scenes makes this evident. And I should note that **there is no such thing as more detail per pixel** in this comparison. That said, the Samsung's advantage in low-light is also very clear, and the heavy noise-reduction LG's software applies to the images to eliminate the noise is seen in the very smudgy details in the photos of the table with glasses (look 1:1 at the glasses and the chairs) and the overhead of the bar (see 1:1 of the bartender and customers at bar). In the end, for those more interested in the cameras, the benefits of the greater high-ISO performance of the Samsung will outweigh the benefits of greater resolution in good light, especially since there can be no question neither camera's lens can resolve the MP the sensors produce.

LG g5 is an innovation but it'll be good only battery size is a big concern it should be around 3500mah to compete with s7

The explanation you give me is not worth much for me, what matters for me is user experience and Samsung is a bit behind. I had enough of that bloat that Samsung calls "features".
