LG V10 review: Time-saver edition

10 March, 2016
LG issues a serious challenge to other makers on the camera and audio battlefields with the V10. The phone is also LG's first to feature a fingerprint reader since 2009's GW820 eXpo (not counting the Google-designed Nexus 5X).

Kudos to Team GSMARENA, this time saver edition is really looking impressive. Covering all aspects of a smartphone at the same time ensuring its crisp and up to the point. And the ratings for individual capabilities of the handset looks informative. Continue your awesome work !

I'm enjoying these time saver edition reviews although it's a big annoying to tell the difference between a full review and a time saver edition. If you would more clearly separate them and provide an easy place to see either full reviews or time savers that would be nice. I prefer the full reviews for phones I care about.

        Ok

disappointing battery life as expected of the "innovative" lg. what's the use of their innovations when their phones can't even last a day of moderate to heavy usage? this is why lg will remain in the shadow of samsung.

First, this is the second time this site has said "the V10 wouldn't be particularly comfortable handling high-impedance headphones". This is nonsense! With the built-in ESS chips, very few phones do better with high-impedance headphones.

As to the new percentile comparisons in the new review format, it needs to be clear what product category the phone is being compared against. Saying the V10 is in the 96% percentile of every phone ever made since the 794 gram DynaTAC 8000X isn't useful. I would suggest the V10 would be measured against other 2015 flagships, and that each display should be so labeled.

The length is about right for iconic phones every nerd should know about even if they would never be caught dead owning one - like the iPhone. The full length reviews are far more important.

This short review format is very well put, of course as a Geek i still prefer the long detailed ones. However i'm sure from now on i'll check out these short ones first to decide if the full review is worth a read. Good job Gsmarena :).

The new review format is very nice, saves time and also all in one page. Thanks GSM arena. Hope this will save you time to do many more reviews. Looking forward.

Didnt liked the percantile thing the star ratings are fine for a quick glance should remove the percantile. Overall I liked how the review has been shortened but not compromised on any detail. And on mobile site in opera it doesnt renders the graphics properly.

You didn't provide us your comparison chart.
                      I know it's a short review.
But, in conclusion as you are throwing us some of its competitors.
Atleast give some comparison numbers in the review, with the competitors.
Also there is nothing mention over the exact dimensions.

It should have been the SD 810 SoC instead, there is a noticible lag in performance from the SD 808. Another disappointment is the tiny & inadequate speaker, otherwise it could a been a great phone.

this is an innovative way to review smartphones. it look a bit long but i think it is much better since its all in one page

How can it get 3.5 stars on battery with that pitiful endurance? Are you weighting the total battery capacity more than the endurance?
