Samsung Galaxy S7 review: A refinement act

11 March, 2016
Close your eyes and picture the Samsung Galaxy S6, but the way you wanted it to be, not the way it came out. Now open them and look at the Galaxy S7. Better? Let’s see.

People who say camera is a dissapointment are fools.
The focus is a huge improvement and basically the best out there. Its a huge plus.
And of course the increaed light gathering from pixels and aperture.
Those things all added together actually counteract the dropped resolution and retain or improve fine detail.

Plus the improvement in dynamic range is a very welcome.

I saw the camera samples of the G4 on the review and then compared them with the samples taken with the S7. The camera of the G4 is better than the camera of the S7.

It seems this dualpixel is just a marketing stunt to sell a refurbished s6 with cheaper camera tech
It should ve been called s6++

This is S6 repacked, with added waterproof and sd card
Camera stayed the same quality, but looses on detail now due to 12 mpx
Really overall Nothing to write home about against S6...
          Almost the same phone
          But the hype...

...I didn't see it because I don't look at video comparison often(n4 and s7 stills are similar in good light), but nothing comes close in the amount of details(in good light) in video of note 4, z5,g4,950,s6e+,6s even S7. N4 is daylight video king(well, no 4k from 808/1020).

weak is weak, 13 Mar 2016and WHEN will multicore app become common. vulkan also just... moreBull. Core 2 core isn't the same as a Quadcore. Core 2 Quad has never existed.
AMD8 isn't i5 but i7. A little bit slower in calculation during a hard game unless you use a Nvidia card. That and an A8 get warm quicker. Keep talking about phone apps. Don't switch to PC's 'cause that's where you're a little tech illiterate as you called it. No need to attack and offend others. You clearly one of the iHerd. Well I prefer android. Does that make me a better person, no. But I swear less than my iOs friends when their Apple products break down.

Don't bother arguing with an iFan. Apple extremists, the iHerd, always promote iEverything.
That's why I will never ever buy an Apple product in my life. Android is better, shared knowledge.

Camera is a huge disappointment! 4:3 RATIO!? WTF!?
Is there a 4:3 screen to properly view them anywhere on anything?!?? NO. You'll always get blank strips on the sides or 9MP image in 16:9 ratio.

The camera is a disappointment. The S6's camera takes equal or better images in all conditions. S6 shows more detail !!

Free of bloatware? Maybe but you have pre-installed 2 notition apps, 2 browsers, 2 gallery apps, 2 music players, 2 app store apps, facebook, whatsapp, Skype and so on.

I don't use some of these apps like facebook or Samsung app store so it is bloatware to me because you can't delete it, only hide it.

No wonder Android uses around 10gb on the S7 (in Europe carrier-free version)

Where this is stated in the end of the article: Clearly Android apps are able to take advantage of multi-core processors and big.LITTLE allows the scheduler to pick the best core combination for the current workload. If you still hear people saying things like 'but a smartphone doesn't need 8 cores' then just throw your hands-up in despair, as it means they don't understand Heterogeneous Multi-Processing and they don't understand that big.LITTLE is about power efficiency and not overall performance.

Christian, 13 Mar 2016Its common knowledge from people who never owned or used iOS.Except I do own a device with iOS 9 lying around my room somewhere. I used to use it as a coaster but its not even good at that.

Its common knowledge to anyone who isn't tech illiterate. There has been no good, original features out of an iOS update that don't already exist on android.
