LG G5... moreG5, good phone, just like G4, however, I am sure it will have issues just like the G4. They've been having issues since the G2. I just don't trust LG anymore. I'll comapred the G4 and S6, since I have both, and both are very similar to the G5 and S7.
- The IR Blaster in my G4 is terrible compared to the one on my Galaxy S6. S6's is stronger than a remote control. I'm sad that it's not on the S7, bad decision from Samsung. Hopefully G5 has a better one. I remember my G2 had a horrible one as well and S4 was really good.
- My G4 has an overall better camera than S6, but the S6 wins it by far in speed. I can take a picture so fast, shutter is fast, focus is faster, and no lag in the "viewfinder" in low light. On the G4 it is so laggy in low light because LG doesn't understand how to optimize it for low light. I no longer miss taking pictures of my daughter. However, G4 is more accurate in focusing, but takes longer. I don't like Samsung's post processing though, it's over processed and fake. I prefer LG's natural one, yet there are too many artifacts from over sharpening.
- S6 has better colors that are more accurate than the G4, both in LCD/amoled screen and camera quality. I'm sure it's the same with the G5. I don't have any burn in issues with my S6. I had some on my Galaxy S1. I believe the G4 had some burn in problems as well.
- G4 has a deeper and better speaker sound quality, and I'm sure it's the same with the G5 over S7 and S6.
- I much prefer TouchWiz over LG's ugly UI. TouchWiz looks superb and has many nice features. The Galaxy app store has so many freebies, promotions, and apps and is actually useful and fast compared to LG's store. LG's software is a tad snappier though with less lag in most apps, though TW has come a long way and is now smooth.
I am still not 100% happy with the S6 though since I miss the SD Card a bit and better speakers and am looking towards the HTC 10, since I miss Sense.

Even mid-range phone got bigger brightness. Not even half of whats mentioned at their site. This is very bad against Amoled with double brightness. They killed themselves.

Design wise I prefer LG G5 over samsung or iphone. It looks refreshing.

LG G... moreAnd actually after seeing lots of YouTube videos I personally feel Exynos 8890 is much more faster in real life than SD 820.
And 2nd camera u r talking about is fixed focus with horrible details compensated with good colors...
It can also be achieved with olloclip which GSMArena reviewed recently..
I do agree having it in the hardware and attachment is different cases
But the design doesn't gets f'up with that ugly looking back
And the thick primer coated aluminum
Which feels not that premium in hands
Much like Galaxy A series from 2015
And I PERSONALLY LKKED THE MODULAR DESIGN OF LG G5.. LG SOUND WORK ON IT FURTHER AND BRING SOME INNOVATIONS HOPING FOR THE GOOD..

And about ancient 12 MP camera u r talking about
It offers the same level of detail just this time around Samsung didn't opted for oversharpening artifacts they went more natural
But with less FoV go and watch some differences between 4:3 and 16:9 photos
These days mobile photos are used for social media only and 4:3 ratio is the best for it
About display I have S3 and Note 3 since it launch and none of them suffered from burn in issues u r talking about they just perfectly fine
Ha Yeah with some lag
And currently I own Oneplus One I wouldn't recommend anyone though it has its own issues and Dad owns a Note5 which is a piece of beauty loved it

Last lg phone I had was tmobile lg g2x that ran pure android. Lg said it ran pure android for quicker updates. Bull shit never got ics. But then the lg g2 came out I fell in love with that phone. Great performance awsome battery life, amazing screen. And looking at the g5 it's one ugly phone I'd throw a case on it asap. And build quality looks like shit. How the fuck you go from a sexy lg g2 to this crap each generation got uglier and uglier. If all they did was use same design as lg g2 upgraded hardware and made it all metal they have a winner

My Omnia HD still has a perfect display. It's an early 2009 phone. Still great blues, still visible in sunlight, still no image burn.

AMOLED have blue subpixel twice shorter life span, Samy gotta love their fan loving boys...
AMOLED is good but as supernova is bright just last for a short period of time...

AnonD-128183, 02 Apr 2016Agreed He's not lying about the burning. It does happen but is very minimal so you don't really notice it. I have a Samsung Note 3, it's around 2.5 years old and shows signs of light screen buring but no only really see it on an all white background.
