The Galaxy J5 (2016) is the centerpiece of the company’s mid-range portfolio for year. With its predecessor becoming a huge hit in developing markets, the company really needs the 2016 model to come out good and help keep Chinese makers at bay.

Well, can not expect a Ferrari at Toyota price. Price verse features and function should be the ultimate comparison. In general this is a very good phone for normal usage and functions.

          However, in the case of the Galaxy J5 (2016) that seems to come at too high a cost. A quick look around the competition is enough to convince you that the Galaxy J5 (2016) finds itself out of its league. With better screens, camera and chipsets easy to come by at this price point, the company will need to seriously consider a price cut if it is to give its smartphone a fighting chance.....@

                are you saying xperia m5 costs half in USA and EU as compared to what is does in india??
                get your facts straight and then start an argument. Compare the off contract prices and check for yourself. i just checked and while j5 goes for around 200 - 250, M5 is $400.

                    And it really depends on what movie you watch because it's Super Amoled. For example when I watch Pixels (1hr 40mins) it only used 10% of my battery while when watching Taiwanese outdoor comedy it took around 14% for 1hr and 30mins. This is because Pixels mostly is on night time (Background is mostly dark) and Super Amoled saves a lot of battery when viewing black stuffs. I'm also using an A5 2016.

                        Why is battery life so bad compared to Galaxy A5 (2016) even though battery capacity is higher and screen resolution is lower?

Snapdragon 410 is still adequate for a 2016 smartphone, you don't exactly need more than a quad core CPU to run basic smartphone apps. 90% of users will notice no difference anyway. If you play heavy games etc. you shouldn't be looking at buying this phone in first place.
