Meizu m3 note review: To the metal

27 May, 2016
We guess many users have always looked forward to the Meizu Note lineup. The m1 note (also known as Blue Charm Note in China) started it all - it boasted a big screen and an overall great package for the price. The m2 note simply widened the LTE network coverage and enabled memory expansion. The latest Meizu m3 note builds upon that with a faster processor, a bigger battery and a more premium, all-metal design.

The performance are decidedly mediocre. The battery is far from impressive consider how slow the SoC is.

11 hours with 4100mah is nothing impressive . remember Samsung with just 2600mah can last 10 hours , with S615. & this Samsung fail me so much , everyday 4pm will less than 24%.
at least 5000mah Lenovo P1 , S615 only can peace of mind use until 11pm or even until 2am even use as Wifi Hotspot.

m1 note is better than m3 note, unless you want four things which are better battery life(4100 vs 3140mah), nice looking phone clad in gorgeous metal (metal vs plastic), latest version of lte (cat 6 vs cat 4), and the availability of microSD.

i can live without those things and i prefer m1 note even if it is 1 year older model.

at least get the camera right as a compensation for the weak chipset..maybe im wrong but i dont think its front camera has wide angle lens for selfie. i got zenfone 2 laser ze500kl with snapdragon 410, yes it has crappy chipset but it has lots of goodies such as nice camera laser focus with wider manual mode settings, good low light pictures, wide-angle front camera, MARSHMALLOW etc.

I agree with almost every comment down here. It could've been better. They upgraded the looks and build(and its so good) yet somehow sneaks in the compromise. Oh well we gotta wait abit more before mid-ranger cameras improve above decency.

X10 should have been the minimum, and might go 'pro' with sd650/heliox20 and sweat the details on pricing later on.

                          Thanks GSM Arena

Metal charm fails me when they do the subtle yet essential thing backward!

                                Another iOS powered phone.

I like this one, no matter how bad it is in picture processing, you got full manual control, something I do not see from samsung/sony. Also phones from sony and lg got usually less battery(and also endurance) in this category.

The front looks like Galaxy A7 (2016) without Samsung logo.

Specs looks promising however does not live up to the expectation, phone does slow down after 10-15 mins of continuous usage. Battery back up is good, back camera does not look that sharp as compared to other 13 MP shooters, front 5MP is good. Overall looks promising however could have been more better
