This is the most genuine & accurate review and i appreciate the reviewer for honest review.I am an owner of note 5 as well as mi max and i fully agree with what has been written in review.It is the best phone in the range & has great performance,the best battery performace ( my main criteria),a great display ( i like in better than amoled for not giving me oversaturation,caliberation is really great & i find sunlight legibility great and on par with my galaxy note 5),MIUI ( i love it for providing so much customisations and is very fluid,I like such good skins which are on par with native android skin, chinese rom is much better with additional functions and i love it),great performance without being a comprimise on battery( it outperformed my note 5 in Antutu scoring 84105,in single core geekbench 4 scoring 1449,Close to it on multicore scoring 3419,better vellamo metal score with similar broswer score & a little less multicore score as compared to my note 5 so i woud say its very fast),good camera but not best( low light prformance not on par with my note 5 but who takespictures in dark thats a question otherwise camera takes great pictures in good light in day with very accurate colour and details,beter than oversaturated pic by my note 5,but u need to adjust contast and sharpness to low level to get best pics),supports fast charging and volte,audio quality is better than my note 5 so very good and the best part is its not heavy on ur pocket.get it if it fits in criteria.

Just 1 problem. If we use dual sim card at the same times we cannot insert sd card. Because sim 1 slot and sd card slot is at the same place.

1 sim and 2 sim but no micro sd card or
1 sim and micro sd card but no 2 sim

I noticed that some are complaining about the last update of MI max on GSMarena,
I updated my phone to MIUI 8.1.6.0 and here is my experience:
- update size is 1.3 GB
-Update process did not take time, only download process (which is internet speed dependent)
- All phone functions are OK, did not notice any unusual thing in the sofware, WIFI, BT, and downloaded games and app

Based upon factwriting criteria,Mi Max prime is one of the best uppermost midrange superphone nowadays with SD 652(without NFC!?)amongst all Xiaomi products with the most reasonable price that no brands can compete with it !!!Undoubtedly,with logical reasons,it has had and will have much more success than Mi Mix,and Mi Note 2 !!Hopefully,Xiaomi or golden Apple of China follows continuation of Mi Max policy not the ultimately following the wrong policy of definitely failure Apple results!!!As I said,Apple success has other reasons not be able to mention them here !!!Considering people smart,genius,...almost all using multiple criteria that have smells of deception has no fate but failure!!!?Unfortunately,Nokia once the best,followed the wrong policy of people's understanding,means underestimating their talents,....Thanks mentioned names,factwriting follower gsmArena,....Justice Rights,....
