Hi guys I can confirm that the battery drain on the Sony xa is due to a bug in the software which will resolve in a future update and the way to get round this in the meantime is to to turn your WiFi off then turn off WiFi scanning and Bluetooth scanning off and then switch your WiFi back on as normal until the new update which fixes the battery drain issue. I can confirm the WiFi is constantly searching for networks as the Bluetooth is scanning as well when the phone is locked or in sleep mode which draining the battery so following then simple steps above will fix the issue :)

It would be nice if you can test battery with new 33.2.A.2.73 firmware.
It is said that this firmware brings new kernel and that bugs that are to blame for high battery drain are sorted.

sony EX!, 12 Jul 2016Sorry to comment here, I am no fan of Samsung.... In fact I... moreI have also use Samsung S2 before. The battery is enough for 1day usage, must charge it daily. Then the XA battery endurance same with S2. I already mention that S2 is 5years flagship BUT the the XA is midrange, so it must have it limitation, but XA had Stamina mode which can bring a better battery life compare to that 5years flagship and the android M is battery saver compare to those older versions.

When did galaxy S2 come out dude? 4-5 years back? Or even longer? Don't even remember.... we're talking about today's phones... who wants to reach for a charger everyday in the middle of your work in the afternoon/evening?

But XA is midrange, hope you can understand, it had stamina mode that S2 don't.
