The GN7 camera is streets ahead of the GN4 in all situations (and the main reason i upgraded)
.
Focus is lighting fast, low light shooting is a LOT better, dynamic range, sharpness, colour and camera interface are all substantially better.
I shoot the GN7 on 9MP 16:9, the GN4 on 16MP 16:9.

The Note 3 doesn't have Optical Image Stabilization and it doesn't take great night photos; the Note 4 does. I could understand why you would say it's a lot harder to focus or take clear photos on your Note 3.

It was a perfectly legitimate comparison which many people were interested in. Are you saying they shouldn't have done it to avoid hurting your oh so delicate feelings?
And of course the newer one would be better. It would've been a real shame if Samsung didn't manage to even match the s7 camera, and naturally you could expect a few tweaks here and there which make the camera slightly better. Why does that hurt your feelings?

Dear gsmarena,
you failed to mention video in conclusion and test is pretty lousy. Biggest difference between cameras IS video shooting. But not 'put it on tripad and stand still' but real-life video recording. New dual-pixel camera in S7/Note7 keeps focus wher it should VERY well. It does get confused but rarely and corrects quickly while S6/Note5 camera can get lost with focus while filming moving object and/or person shooting is moving. That is very noticable difference you faild to mention where difference is not a small margin but huge.

Larger dual pixel of 7 series still have the upper hand on low light shots.
I would like to see Galaxy s8 with 16MP dual oixel and great algorithms rather than 12MP dual camera so far we heard of s8 camera would be

Thank God that you found something completely judgemental and open to interpretation so that you can urge people to buy the newest product 6 months later as opposed to things that are actually subject to measurement, where there is no reason for a new purchase unless you really,really want a pen.Good job.

Overall I still prefer the Note 5's camera... I did not use it, but I had a GS6.
Don't get me worng, I have a GS7 Edge and the camera is very good, but I like the 16:9 aspect and a little more FOV on video mode...
One important thing is that 16MP gives more material to work with when processing...

And megs pixel has no link to quality??????
Not without everything to back it up just like any other set of hardware and it's software.
But with all the proper parts and software the higher mp will bring more detail......duh.....

Because of display panel's better colour accuracy, and because of Gorilla Glass 4, which at least doesn't seem to be as scratch prone as GG5. And obviously S7E is much cheaper now, however not taking that into account. The only thing is S Pen which is the advantage on the Note 7, now I use that pretty moderately heavily, but if someone doesn't use than then I don't see any point of getting the N7 over S7E!
