Hands down to Apple´s software optimization and powerful Chipset, both of these are the ones that give the iPhone its speed. The camera its quite acceptable for today standards, but the rest stills as crappy as always.

Sure its not as fast as the iphone7,but for almost half the price you still get a better camera.Same for the Huawei P9.

Can't see the point of those impressive cpu cores when ios is still so painfully outdated and still crippled by missing so many basic features. It might make the phone's performance seem better (no lag, etc) but at the frankly ridiculous price they are charging it's just not on. Apple' chipset desogners have built the phone equivalent of a 600 horsepower engine and bolted it to the the chassis and running gear of an austin maxi!
I refused to buy the Samsung S7 edge because their prices have gotten equally silly and I was hoping ios 10 would be a real overhaul - a justification for buying a top end phone. Sadly there are still no phones out there that come close to justifying their excessive price tag. A minor bump of the camera specs, an OS older than the hills and a downgrade of materials such as the camera lens glass are just as annoying as the headphone jack issue when we are being quoted a starting price of £700.

LG could really put some work into speeding up the camera system, part of the problem as well I think is that there is no focus lock in the camera app.
If you tap to focus, it'll reset all to quickly, then it'll re-focus when you hit the capture button, this has caught me out a few times.
I doubt anyone will say the ip7 produces the best pictures overall, but it'll be plenty good enough and faster than all (with the possible exception being the S7 series).

The you can argue that the iphone doesn't suit you for a reason or another, but you can not force others to think that iPhone is mediocre.

Year in year out, the best in the biz. Rivals don't get it, because Apple lays down the rules. The only way to compete is to change the rules, which no one is doing yet.
