20 September 2016
On the seventh day the designers rested. In came the engineers. And the master of controversy struck again...

My iPhone 7 is scoring just 130000 to 163700 on antutu benchmark. Is it some serious hardware issue?

You don't need to take one feature away to add another. iPhones are hardly the smallest phones in the market. On the contrary they are often larger than most phones of equal screen size, mainly because of the ROUND button.

Tactile feedback and virtual buttons have been around for ages. Sure I like virtual/tactile buttons, but not at the expense of dropping a prevalent standard audio interface.

Quite simply, Apple is once again herding us into another costly proprietary standard with no added value. Lightning connector will carry the same analog signal to the tiny headphone speakers. No improvement, but you added a weak point which is the adapter. Apple has tried to fool us before when they forced us to switch to Lightning connector (what's wrong with 40 pin?) which to this day leads to a USB 2.0 connector on the other end. Goes without saying, you can't improve one side if the other end is still an old standard. So why waste all the money spent on 40-pin accessories for nothing?

It can be switched off in a second and switched back on when needed. Apple doesn't want to put NFC in iPhone, because it's not their technology, so they can't benefit from the patent. Same with 3.5mm jack, that's why it's gone. Now every headphones maker has to pay Apple for each unit of their product, if they choose to make it with lightning connector. Sickening. Like I said in other post - Apple - where fun stops, and business begins.

Wxy, 21 Sep 2016These were all my concerns before I jumped in to Apple. Mi... moreI also have the Lumia 1520 but my daily phones are S7Edge and iPhone 6. The 1520 used to be my daily phone, so I know what you're talking about.

Disagree with some of you points there.
Customization is good. It's not for kids (only). We have our preferences in ways we want to interact with our phone. Eg. In iPhones, we cannot put the icons on bottom bar on a new page (have to be sorted from the upper bar first). It's kinda annoying. Options is always good my friend. Even the Lumia 1520 has better customization than the iPhone.

Higher Display Resolution. Yes, we can actually see the difference. Not necessarily by up close. Not by much, but it's noticeble especially for watching movie or high graphic games. Having an Amoled and higher resolution, the S7 Edge screen looked much better than the iPhone 7 /7+

The mono audio for video recording is one big flaw in the Iphone 7 IMO.

Wireless charging is not that important, I agree. But it adds the flexibility in charging our phone. And for a phone that doesn't have a headphone Jack - iPhone 7, it's very useful if you want to listen to music through a good wired headset while charging your phone.

And.. the headphone jack. It's totally bussiness reason (and probably saving some space). There's no innovation behind it. There's no better substitute for the headphone jack at the moment (unlike CD replacing Floppy, or USB drive replacing CD). Bluetooth headset is already available for quite some times and the audio quality is still behind wired headset.

Look, I don't hate Apple or iPhone. I even use one daily. It's just Apple disappoints me again this year for not making exciting phones. The iPhone 7 is a great device. But i don't see upgrading my iPhone 6 yet (hello 3 years design and all those things above). They broke their usual new design change every two years. The iPhone 7s feels like a 'bridge' or a prototype device.
This year, Apple compromises things in favor of next year's 10th anniversary iPhone (presumably iPhone 8). And that's when I will upgrade my iPhone 6. This year's iPhone is passable IMO, if you have the 6s or even 6.

Nfc is used exclusively for apple pay... So that it is secure.... Can you imagine if other apps or devices are capable of hacking in to your nfc and able to take money out of your account.I think people have forgotten about the news that gsmarena had published a few months ago about the potential vulnerability with Samsung pay

And email or shareit the docs. But my no means this confirms apple is easier than android. Android is superior, open and accessible. But one thing it lacks is stability. Trust me i used every flagship Samsung built. I preferred apple to save my contacts and messaging. I guess thats what matters at the end of the day. Else you can enjoy content on your tablet or laptop also.

Very passionately written. You almost made me think that it really doesn't matter much if it lacks the jack. Agreed my audio accessories will be in vain but who cares wireless is the way. Talking of wireless made me think, wouldn't it he better if they packed the wireless charging or atleast fast charging. It feels like wait for eternity to full charge my iPhone 6s. Well, all that said. Waiting for iPhone 7s. iPhone 7 isn't my thing right now.

Dot-WiFi, 28 Sep 2016if ios have file browser , u will said apple copy android .... If file browser becomes available, if I can copy-paste all existing files in the memory freely to USB or hopefully an SD card, I may consider an iPhone (even there are loads of other disadvantages against a good Android). Not able to see content of the phone is irritating. Something is over there but it is not totally reachable. This is not safety! It seems like you rent the phone from a dealer and had an aggreement: Use it but don't touch/copy content. Why? What happens if I broke a phone overseas and need information. Don't say me cloud (if you know the roaming charges overseas). Cloud is not a replacement for an SD card. It is something else. If you have your files in your SD card, if you are in a hurry, you just buy another phone and continue your life. This is freedom. iPhone is iSlavery. Owner becomes a slave of eco system. This is not safety. This is a way to create an addiction.
