Sony's latest flagship, the Xperia Z6 comes with refined design, improved camera, and a due update in specs. Wait, back up a little there - it's actually called the Xperia XZ this time around but, yeah, the rest of that is true.

The competitors brain wash people, so many people are blind. The XZ with Alkaleido Metal body and Gorilla Glass 4.

And just so some people know
Xz is maid out of plastic for scientific reasons and that is the fact that it's harder to scratch it can take more punch because it's flexible and its keeps the color better than metal
SO I ON BE HALF OF SONY APOLIGIZE FOR DOING THE SMART THING AND MAKING STH MORE DURABLE THAN BEFORE

The RMAA results for the headphone part are so bad that it's not comparable to most mid range smartphones, or even some low end ones. There must be some major audio issues.

Anonymous, 29 Sep 2016Sony is the last company to offer mid range specs (ram, bat... moreYou are brain washed by Samsung.

About the RAM, Samsung said the 3GB RAM is for their mid-range for 2017, because the Samsung UI is lag and complicated. The Sony UI is very simple and very smooth even 2GB RAM also can run smoothly. Xperia XZ with 3GB ram is running smoothly after years, because it don't like Samsung, Samsung will use up the Ram even they give you 4GB RAM, the updates is slow down the Samsung flagship performance, because their software optimize is rubbish. But the Xperia UI is light and the software update is very good even my Z2 is 2 and half year it is running very smooth and fast.

About the battery, the XZ with 2900 battery capacity is enough for 5.2 with 1080 FHD display, the Samsung 7 edge use 2K display and 5.5 screen that's why they have to use a bigger battery, So you can not say the XZ battery is for mid-range, the XZ battery even come with Qnovo battery charging technology, fast charge and battery care, which no competitors care about the battery health. The competitors will give you the battery in degrading after year, so you have always bring your charging gadget.

About the XZ camera, it must be one of the best camera on market. I can find a lot sample, X series get great result, I think XZ will even better, with the laser auto focus and RGBC-IR sensor and 5 axis stabilization. We also have to wait the DxOmark review for further knowledge.

XZ is a nice solid flagship, the competitors are just want to degrade XZ, but they can not beat it, they are losers.

Your defamatory comments about gsmarena and attempted falsifying of ISO results (probably photoshop) are testament to your ongoing obsession of promoting Sony for some unknown weird infatuation.

I also checked ISO details with 2 dedicated photo programs and the results were identical to my comments. You have absolutely zero proof, Nada, Zilch, Zip. Sony XZ has a decent camera, but there are better choices available from different brands. What is so hard about admitting that ? Presto that !

On page 2, Stills: daylight with the tree photos….Iphone7 is ISO 20,… LG G5 is ISO 50,…Samsung S7 is ISO 50,…Sony XZ is ISO 40.

This is how to read correct EXIF data
Using Windows7, Go to page 2. Stills: daylight. Scroll down to the photos of the tree. Click on a tree photo and then click the magnifying glass 1.1 icon above photo.
Next, right click “save image as”, and click “save as Type” and change to jpeg, save on desktop and remember file image name.
Go to desktop where photo is saved, right click on photo, select properties and then select details…..and presto, there is your EXIF data.

Doctoring up false info to prove your constant lying should be enough to get you banned from here.
Iphone 7, LG G5 and Samsung S7 all have better photography than Sony XZ. Read the truth and weep.

I can say for sure that Xperia xz is a great smart phone, smooth performance, taking awesome pictures, front camera is way better than my previous S7 edge and iPhone 7/7plus, battery 🔋 back up is good, no heating up problem like other people's say. I haven't tested water resistant yet. I'm really enjoying my xz so much. Sony isn't overpriced, it's only 599$ US with free Bluetooth earphones 🎧 here in my country, a hundred $ cheaper than other countries. Sony is love, Sony is life.

Sonys photo crop noise levels are indeed consistant with 8000 ISO level, not 50.
There is sth wrong with your Win explorer obviously as my exif data shows others shots at 50, lgs at 2500 and sonys at 8000.

[deleted post]That Sony photo is ISO 40. And other phones were also at ISO 40. Easily checked through Windows properties or a free online EXIF reader. Again your bogan and ridiculous claim that Sony XZ was set to 8000 ISO has been proven 100% false. There are simply better cameraphones availabe, such as Iphone 7 or Samsung GalaxyS7 or LG G5. Not sure why you compulsively lie so much about Sony Smartphones and also put in so much wasted time and effort to manufacture false EXIF data in some bizzare language.

[deleted post]In Windows you can use Explorer itself to reveal the Exif data to you. Simply find/save your image, right click and choose Properties then the Summary tab. Exif data for Sony XZ photos in the daylight camera shootout are ISO 40. The picture with the tree.

That’s ISO 40 with only one zero behind the 4. Again, you have been caught blatantly lying.

Gsmarenas cameraphone shootout was professionally done with all phones at similar ISO settings. Daylight setting were ISO 40 for all phones, including Sony XZ.

Again, THANK YOU GSMARENA FOR A HONEST CAMERAPHONE SHOOTOUT.
