HTC Bolt preview: First look

11 November 2016
The first thing that comes to mind as I learn about the new HTC Bolt is the Verizon-exclusive HTC Thunderbolt, a very successful smartphone from 2011. Some things never change, don't they? HTC has now teamed up with another US carrier, Sprint, to release an exclusive device which introduces a new connectivity feature.

$599? Good Lord. I was looking forward to this at around $450.

5.5" finally is good but SD810, 3200mAh and no 3.5mm audio is like a very very bad joke.
This stubborn Far Eastern mentality (which natively harms Japanese & Taiwanese companies) causes just to lose existing customers and avoids newcomers as well. I know a Taiwanese company (for 16 years; I know many Taiwanese people as well) who insisted on increasing pricing of an industrial product namely refrigeration compressors (to compensate for steel-copper-labor price increases), after some years those material prices dropped but they just kept on increasing pricing (to equalize them with the other western companies at the end; they thought that as they have the same quality, they could price it the same. BUT, brand name & origin is EVERYTHING in this world). They kept on opening new factories-production facilities by the way (because profit was abundant). I warned them hundreds of times to reduce their prices. Nothing happened, they didn't reply. Now they lost ALL their customers on Western world and trying to gain them again by reducing the prices and visiting them. They accept their wrong pricing policies as well. But it is too late. What a funny world.
    HTC, YOU ARE NOT APPLE.
    HTC, YOU ARE NOT SAMSUNG.
HTC, YOU ARE NOT LG (LG has lower brand value than above).
Now ASUS started doing the same mistake. God give them sanity! They will start sinking like HTC as well.
Wake up and don't keep on doing the same mistakes again and again and again (only a stupid guy makes the same mistakes 10 times in a row).
One day you will realize that nobody buys flagship HTC's.
Look at the internals of Apple, Samsung, LG. HTC is at least 4 years behind them with laying around cables and messy internals. Do you have any engineers!? Or not.
Iterative small changes=going back (because everyone else goes forward)
We check iFixit score of phones before buying (and also internals). Phone is not about the chamfered edges.
I guess nobody in HTC, ASUS checks Gsmarena and iFixit (and similar sites) to see what is going on in the world. JUST WAKE UP!
