One Finnish retailer (located in China, sells a lot of Chinese products) sells this phone ~1000 euros. :( I knew it was highly priced, but still... Maybe later, then.

I guess the 91.3% refers to diagonal line of screen / diagonal line of body,
since simply by 0.913 * 0.913 you get 0.84 approximately.

You're mistaking MIUI's exceptional battery use control which is what puts Xiaomi in the lead as one of the longest lasting phones on a single charge.
If you don't want an app restricted in the background just go the the app switcher view and swipe down on the app, select the lock. Done. It takes only a few seconds

seriously light shell ? it's very heavy, i use mi 5 before, and miui aggresively clearing background apps, i open chrome with 5 tabs, and then switch to another app, and return again to chrome, it reloads
and that very iOS like multitasking interface is very slow if you compare it to stock android

This device has FDD-LTE: B1，B2，B3，B4，B5，B7，B9.
T-mobile's FDD-LTE: B2,B4,B12.
If Xiaomi will bring Mi Mix next year to US, may be they will add B12 (not vitamin ok...)

You messed up Xiaomi, you messed up big time! Mi 5s got good speaker and audio quality, Mi Mix got it also. So why the hell you didn't do it for the Mi 5s Plus? That's the only thing stopping me from buying it!

Nice battery life and even better build. I just don't like the design with one bezel at the bottom. Front facing cam is also placed awkwardly. And the main cam itself is underwhelming. Overall a more than decent phone in my book. Just not worth the price.

I've never seen a phone more updated than this one (stock vs now). I'm running miui 8 and I have almost complete feature parity to all other xiaomi phones.
The android version that my rom is based is irrelevant since most of the code in Xiaomi phones comes from Xiaomi. MIUI is a mostly in house OS. It's like saying that Nougat is technically a not very up to date version of Android since it does not run the latest version of Linux kernel (far from it in fact).
Then again it doesn't matter since most of the code comes from Google (in Nugat's case), similarly as long as I run MIUI 8 I get most if not all the benefits of running a modern 2016 OS. It's also tailored to my device's hardware, so it doesn't slow down than if Xiaomi had their MIUI versions following android versions strictly.
So yes my phone is still being supported. How about yours? (Those that are older than 2 years old)

This device is certainly godlike in its own category :p. But the "earpiece" quality is super underwhelming. Check Jerryrigeverything and youll see what i mean...
