LG G6 review: Cutting corners... Like a pro

16 March 2017
Cutting corners - it's the story of the LG G6's life. Literally - the smartphone's display doesn't end in right angles, it's soft arcs instead. Figuratively - the G6 isn't packing the absolute greatest hardware on the market.

Just got 1 a few days ago. For those who complaint about battery, install Hibernation Manager and calibrate the battery. Morning to 7.40 PM LT still left me 45% of juice. Pretty much lasting until midnight. LG is always better than Samsung but SURPRISINGLY I found my Zenfone 3 ZE552KL battery lasting almost 50% longer using the very same Hibernation Manager.

LG G6 is a good buy unlike other overpricing flagships. Have some flagships but LG is better is some ways except G4 where the battery is really terrible.

not sure why but IQ from the wide angle lens is quite a bit poorer than the standard lens, don't know why LG are using different processing between the 2 lenses? but there is quite a big difference in IQ, the wide angle lens is very mushy detail wise... pity!

LG, in the past years, though having a decent amount of battery, still failed to establish its ground when its comes to battery endurance. Why? Because they have poor optimisation on their software in connection with the power consumption. Samsung, in the past years, though with small to decent amount of battery, really shined i dont know the reason but my experience tells me so. And btw, LG's so freaking bad in real-time speed tests, maybe this G6 would be fairly competitive with the samsung galaxy s7/s7 edge. But not with s8/s8plus brother you know that

For me the LG V20 is still the ultimate phone by far. The second screen is so useful in practice, as is the wide angle camera. The quad dac and b&o headset are nice to have, but the killer feature for me is replaceable batteries. When i'm running low, i just pop in a new battery and i'm good to go again. Also: LG does fingerprint readers right. It always just works on my V20.

Capacity actually better than s8 offer, but i believe s8 bring better battery performance

I am so tired of these damn manufacturers putting in these tiny ass batteries n talkin stupidity buh rapid charge it's sickening

is the g6 camera on par with v20 or better or worse ?

A great phone to pick up when it gets to $299. At full retail, no thank you.
