It's weird if that lag was still built in even if you are using the touchscreen to capture. I wonder if that is something that can be changed in the settings? Or with an update. Is it True that the HTC U11 has a Noticeable Lag compared to the Samsung S8? Maybe the number of photos it takes for HDR may be the issue.
It's interesting that HTC has moved to a smaller Pixel size to include faster readout and much faster autofocus. Also it has tried to copy the Samsung Camera specifications to a T. It's almost like it realised that it doesn't get better than this.

having 90% score because of the improve camera does not mean its way better compared to whole aspects of s8+...

both are great. Samsung is a tiny bit good but certainly not enough to give it a definitive win. HTC has definitely improved its game. If you are choosing between two then it should not come down to the camera quality as both are more than great.

HTC algorithms are not good in battery life. Atleast they should provide 3500mah battery. 3000mah not enough. Camera is best in class.

Still not gonna buy flagship phones until they can record 4K @60FPS.
