I can't believe there are actually people here enjoying the HTC phone. It is a horrible phone with a decent camera.

One of the things I tend to look at nowadays is supported LTE bands of the phone. If you are a traveler like me and frequently visit the US/Canada and parts of central/south America, you might want a phone that supports more LTE bands so that you don't have to use 3G which is often slow/congested nowadays.
The HTC U11 already supports some US LTE bands but some important bands (like band 2) are not included. The last HTC didn't support any US bands at all so it was pretty crappy having to use it in the US with only 3G available!
Now, the S8 seems to have support for less bands than the S7, according to your own specs sheets. So I'm wondering what's right and what isn't.

Fantastic work HTC. After watching the release I can appreciate all the work that has gone into 11. Any chance of a metal only back version.

I'm waiting for the same th... moreV30 will came out in 3-4 months and if LG make a smart move to go back for more expensive sensors than G6 and goes up with big edgeless flat screen in metal body i will stay with it at least 2 years but if LG make cheap midrange camera V30 i giving up ... and my next phone will be HTC U11 or eventually Zenfone AR... Cmon G6 sensor is same one as Xiaomis redmi pro one (215$) they cant go like that anymore ... i dont look for dslr but i need best possible smartphone low light and night shots camera ... im a relatively young and go in clubs almost every night so my camera must be best possible mobile performer... btw sd820 can run everything so SD835 isnt must have ... So DEAR LG PLEASE FOCUS ON SPEAKERS AND CAMERAS LIKE ON EARLIER MODELS LIKE G2 G4 V20 performance even on SD660 will be enough for any game for at least 1 year so for me SD835 isnt must have but it will be nice to make a beast with it

Once the light goes down... it takes only black pics. Yes xenon flash did make it up indoors. But one can totally forget of video rec. It didnt have BSI sensor. The S8+ front camera looks kinda soft. Weired.. mine looks sharp and clear. Is beauty mode and other beautification mode activated?

Main camera of U is clearly better. Coming from Symbian/Nokia fan. God help, my 950 takes better snaps compared to S8. This oversharpening... And i don't even start about picture quality of my 808.
