They have a 10 ... moreI highly doubt you can really discern a monumental difference between 1080p and 1440p on a smartphone display. I've used a lot of smartphones, many with 1440p displays, and despite that I'm very happy with the screen resolution

They haven't improved a bit since 2 years.
They have a 10 years old display with FHD while all good ones like Samsung and LG have a much better resolution.
I think they should finally buy the screens from some good manufacturer and not keep this old and outdated screen.
They also haven't improved their camera which went from 16MP in Redmi Note 3, into 12 in Note 4 and Note 5.
The same applies to their battery capacity which went down.
Something is wrong with this company!
They seem to go backwards...
I will never buy a phone with 1920x1080. That alone decides for me whether to buy it or not, and I'm not buying it, until they improve their display into the level of a good one.

Almost all of Xiaomi's new phones (apart from the high end Mi6 and Miix) have the SD 625. All of their mid rangers have the same specs, with camera and screen size being the only differences.
Note 4X - SD 625
Mi Max 2 - SD 625
Mi A1 - SD 625
Redmi - SD 625
Mi 5x - SD 625

"Built for photography" camera will not focus.
Bluetooth not working thanks to Asus screwing with the OS.
OTA update can disable battery charging, effectively bricking the phone.

Same old Snapdragon 625 AGAIN.
Not buying a Xiaomi phone again after buying teh Note 3 pro. Literally all of them are powered by the same crappy 625, apart from the two flagships.
Any new phone by Xiaomi = Lame SD 625.
My 3 year old Snapdragon 801 is faster than this crap. And please do not tell me it will run games smoothly at 1080p with that underwhelming GPU. Try running Dead trigger 2 at high settings on this SOC.
The days of Xiaomi offering great specs for amazingly competitive prices are over.You get what you pay for, which is mediocrity in this case.

Ofcourse if you jailbreak your 1000$ fruit you won't get warranty plus risk of bricking. Mi allows unlocking bootloader and rooting without harming warranty. It was a forum message to say that that service was stopped temporary for server maintenance. It has nothing to do with Android. Well you won't know the meaning of freedom in your walled garden

this "awsome" phone, is so good, that u cannot unlock him. Because there is a change to get Bricked! And right now MIUI had to shut down this feature http://en.miui.com/thread-847028-1-1.html
