They took away the jack and brought no new features to compensate for it.

I think, now days Google and Apple , mainly focusing for AI, Google Voice, SIRI, and blah blah. Both are implementing new technologies in its devices. Now as a user of Google /Apple we must embraces those things instead of bezel size, screen resolutions, camera, design.
Both are telling at the end of day your regular tasks with phone must work seamlessly.

I watched the entire launch. If the reviewer could pull their emotions, agenda and cold bias view away for a minute, the launch showed quite a number of fantastic things to get excited over. Far over and above nitpicking a few things with little professional care or credit. I emplore more savvy readers to watch that launch. It's amazing. I thought future shock was about here. Google did not need any dam dual cameras to start with. Just watch the launch. I really appreciated it, and the future looks awe inspiring. Kudos to Google for some obvious very hard, very detailed work. Credit where due.

Does the XL2 have "double tap" screen wake? (like the V30)
And a front notification LED? (maybe not with always on display)
These are small features but I don't see them mentioned anywhere yet.

This phone is inferior to the v30 in many ways. And it doesn't have a headphone jack... Would buy any Android flagship other than this.

How will it compete with Galaxy S8 and iPhone X?? There's nothing special in design, features or anything.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2017Camera samples look worse than Nexus 5x (with HDR+ On) or P... moreAnd if you think they really are worse than their two year old phone, you might want to reconsider.

So, basically, no 3.5,no qi, huge bezels, ugly design and 650$?? This is fail of the year, i can get Op5 for 400$ or so with headphone jack and zoom camera. Even apple is better at this point.

Nowadays flagship smartphones with SD835 too expensive, mid-ranger smartphones with SD660 good enough.

It is evident Google makes great software but crap hardware. In 2017 when others are coming with all screen phones, ceramic and metal unibodies and features like face recognition Google is content with fishing out something that belongs to 2014.

Google are the new apple, putting very little upgrades to last model and charging a huge price,at least apple are upping their game but thank God samsung and lg are still flying a premium flag for Android or else if we only has pixels we would be so far behind apple.

Very large bezel for an IP67. No wonder that HTC is way behind LG and Samsung.
