AnonD-368020, 20 Oct 2017Should have included one plus 5 too. Just for fans sake. For "fans sake" ? wth!!! This comparison is between a flagship phone of two of the most powerful and influential brand today. Adding a 3rd party for comparison with them were never be a good idea. There are much better other deservings competition with them if we talk about 3rd party like Sony, LG, Nokia etc... These are company were second in line to them. one plus is local brand and don't deserves such spotlight yet. So in conclusion, adding that with this two will be a pollution, there are other Chinese or local brand out there that much better to match with that.

from my past experience phone B is must be a apple device.phone A has oversharping artificial effects all over the place in 1:1 images and much noise that come with it.in low light one note 8 as phone A have the edge probably because better autofocus system and better experience that samsung have with that case.
and in last one we clearly see how apple try to punch more color in iphone 8s camera (Although it isn't everybody's taste)

Interesting, I voted for A for each of the tests and believe that to be the iPhone because Apple are good at more natural colours whilst Samsung are slightly brighter. And I'm a Note users. (I had an iPad Pro 9.7 and the camera was superb, very realistic colour and dynamic range.) But Samsung images are like that from Canon DSLRS, although I cannot explain what I mean by that, but it's very slightly artificial, but not so much that it's unpleasant.
Both have their merits, but I opt for Samsung because they provide way more control over both still and video recording and I prefer the UX.

original images with highest quality cameras should be provided for proper comparison of color reproduction.

There should be more phones in the blind test. When there is only 2 which are drastically different in color reproduction, it is not blind anymore.
Note 8 can be easily identified (at least I believe).

You know that phone B is the note 8 because of the wider focal length on both cameras. So long as the crops are 1:1 it's impossible to get the exact same frame

I have seen some photo samples of the Pixel 2 and it's quite impressive, i think GSMarena should put another blind camera test with the Pixel 2 vs Note 8 vs iPhone 8 Plus.

Well I couldn't pick based on how realistic the colors are BECAUSE I wasn't physically nor mentally there when and where these photos were taken. Which means any of my comparison to which between the two stills produces colors closer to reality is a bust. I'd rather judge based on detail preservation and sharpness, instead

Phone B is Note 8 - The much wider angle lens. Funny that it has managed to outshine the iPhone on telephoto.
