Apple iPhone X review

08 November 2017
The anniversary iPhone is here. The iPhone X. Or the iPhone 10. The name is as confusing as the product itself is game-changing. Tim Cook's vision finally overwhelmed Steve Jobs ideological remnants. A new dawn for the iPhones has begun, free of the iconic Home key and the notorious screen bezels.

I would just like to say what a great piece of writing this is. Well done GSMArena for elevating the quality of tech reviews on the web. Keep it up! PS. Is it just me or has there ever been a stronger line up of Android phones to take on the might of Apple?!

The wireless technology surely has the advantage about not having to connect the headphones to the phone physically, so it adds some freedom... But having to charge yet another device and the worse sound are definitely not appealing things to me.

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2017Common sense=hate. Right is left, up is down...right? You ... moreNah. Its just funny that to see people bash all the time.
First the screen was ugly and had low ppi, everone said apple is poor and is ripping people of, charging too much. Now the screen is the best after being measured in laboratorys and everybody is like Samsung is the greatest. See the difference?
Same goes for camera, design...people see what they want to see and are not objective.

Its like seeing a ferrari and saying, look at this car, its super expensive but all the parts are from fiat, bosch, denso... f*** ferrari. Or a house- do you praise the architect or the workers that were building?

As mentioned, haters gonna hate. Some enjoy life and others just try too fill their emptyness by bashing others. I love every phone and respect everyones choice. Why is it so hard to accept that someone likes expensive shiny things?

The problem is that the brand-fanboys are having a hard time reading anything negative about their favorite brand, so they come and b*tch about it as if this site was biased. Entertaining to read it, but still sad.

Verne, 09 Nov 2017Actually, Apple is an excellent brand ... and if you have A... moreI wouldn't call Apple a crappy brand, I am android user for a long time, but only because I choose freedom of customizing my experience over a pretty looking but walled garden of Apple ecosystem. But Apple is and has always been an 'Overpriced' and 'Overhyped' brand. If you want great (but limited) experience you better have more than just one of their products i.e. buy a macbook if you want to see a convenient way to connect iPhone to a laptop etc. i.e.buying additional overpriced product if you want to get best user experince out of the one overpriced product you bought, I still remember good ol' ipod days and the itunes on windows, man that sucked but then i got over the assumption i had that apple provides best audio quality and saw comparable alternatives for similar or better audio quality and never bought an ipod again. May be once upon a time other alternatives weren't as convenient as Apple's ecosystem but at least iOS 10.3 had nothing over android(if anything more restrictions over Android Nougat) or Macbook 2016 had nothing over any equally spec'ed windows 10 machine. There are plenty of Apple loyalists who are living in assumptions based on past myths, and/or keep buying Apple stuff for the pretty outer shell, Or worse, think their phone or laptop with Apple logo asserts their status. People can still be aware of limitations and use Apple products for non superficial reasons (such as brand status or past myths or pretty shell) but if all of them were like that we would not see iPhones sold in that much quantity.

Verne, 09 Nov 2017Actually, the AirPods are *great* devices, offering slightl... moreStellar convenience comes at a price and with a preference, I find myself hating the hassle to charge yet another device, returned my Gear Icon and Bragi Dash after that too, the convenience started wearing off within a week, all i was left with the hassle of charging for no better audio quality for which companies ask way more than they ideally should. People who do not see charging as hassle can enjoy 'slightly better' quality by paying Apple tax or (any other brand as all of them are in same boat here) but they can use it regardless of the presence of headphone jack. People like me who do not want the hassle of charging can choose to keep our same wired headphones, and the world is happy. Removing the jack is a 'notch' below forcing people to buy their bluetooth headphones, by just making it way more inconvenient to use wired headphones (excuse the pun). Just like microtransaction in games, you don't have to buy it, but if you don't, experience could be very frustrating. This is dangerous for the general consumer interest and brand fanboyism could make us all suffer who think for value before buying anything.

" But right now, the iPhone X feels like a rushed product with beta software, overhyped and overpriced. Not to mention it only comes in one screen size which would mean users looking for a proper large-screen experience hardly have an option in Apple's portfolio."

Thats what i like about GSMA, the honesty :) . I dont care much about apple but i had to read what gsma thought about it.

                                You must be a "liberal".

                                  Photography overall.
Pixel has the best all over photography camera ever made across the total marked segment including video by this sites own yesterday's chart posting. But but at first you think it's apple without its clarification. Alas Google won overall. I'm not pushing a brand but just to clarify.

Google has not even enabled the dedicated New image chip yet (a first )so it's about to get even better. Apple has also published an official media release stating x has similar colour hue on angles to pixel etc but has received none of this site added bias. I really like the top tier of both companies phones very much. Their fantastic but you can't escape this sites added sense of bias. I Like apple too but pity about the not so easy user issues with this year's ios.
