Apple iPhone X review

08 November 2017
The anniversary iPhone is here. The iPhone X. Or the iPhone 10. The name is as confusing as the product itself is game-changing. Tim Cook's vision finally overwhelmed Steve Jobs ideological remnants. A new dawn for the iPhones has begun, free of the iconic Home key and the notorious screen bezels.

I currently use devices running iOS 11 and Android 7. Can say from experience using iOS is like going from Windows to DOS.

All are okay and great... but price on the high side... and the WORST part.. even you pay a high price it doesn't come with high speed charger.. Seriously a BIG put down from Apple..

To settle down the wars in comment section:
iPhone X is awesome phone, and so is iPhone 8 and Note 8 and Galaxy S8.
They are all awesome, just they have their differences and it's up to you to decide which one is right for you, which one suits you better.
About pricing - iPhone X has it's price, it has unique features so yeah, even tho it might be overpriced - it's unique so it's kinda justified.
The same things Xiaomi and other chinese phone fanboys say about Samsung - overpriced, ugly, fragile... but this isn't the right thing to do, people come here looking for real information, not some crap fanboys are making up.

            Hello iphone.
Good to use ur innovating features.
WHY DON'T U CREATE NEW FEATURE? . That is...
If a person forget their handset at home. How can he answer the calls.

            Why don't u create this.
If u like this comment. You can implement upcoming series. Thank you.

This is where I lost trust in GSMArena Battery test, I won an S8 and I got the iPhone X, and the battery life is not comparable, the iPhone destroys the S8 in battery life, endurance and web browsing.
Another thing the notch didn't bother me at all, some app probably should not but button on the left corner, cuz when taking a call, that button becomes unusable.
FaceID, is a joy, works super well, I had my doubts about removing the FP, but wow FaceID is fast and great, only down side is when using in bed while my head is on the pillow.
I've been using android since galaxy 4 for upgrading every year. tried to go back to ios on iphone 6 and then 7 but couldn't, always kept the galaxy and returned the iphone in 2 weeks. Now i've been using the iphone for over a month, didn't look back on the galaxy s8.

*But* Note 8 is a bigger device meaning that it has a bigger bezels than iphone X. Generally it's easier to pull a high BtS ratio on bigger devices. Reason is that even a thick bezel is of lower percentage as compared to a big device than a smaller one.

So no, iPhone X remains the phone with the smallest bezel in the world. It makes sense too, it doesn't waste any space, it actually uses the dead space in the middle of the notification area for sensors (which is genious if you discount how ugly it looks).

Where others put bezels Apple put horns, so she's now using "dead space". That approach is clearly better from a functional point of view, you can't not see it.

So there, I found a use that is better than "full screen".

And thanks to good panel tech are still even very good with white colors.
It is overall much more efficient. Comparing LCD and Oled that is.

Iskander, 23 Nov 2017It all was about the claim that the screen of the iPhone X ... moreThat one video used the right methodology, that's why I quote that instead of others. The right methodology is to stress all parts of the phone because by in-large users use them all . If you do that then iPhone X indeed wins over iPhone Plus by far (tried it myself, you're welcome to as well).

OLED screens are more efficient on deep colours, LCDs on bright colours. That's the general rule. So it's a toss-up. Obivously your LCD would use less battery if you use bright apps. My point was not so much on OLED's efficiency but more on the general efficiency of the device *plus* Apple's propensity of enforcing standards (eventually most apps would be OLED friendly leading to an -indeed- low power consumption by the OLED screen as well)...

I refuted the claim that the Oled screen was iPhones most efficient one and that is where you decided that testing screen efficiency is by doing the whole system efficiency. And while in the ond video the iPhone X supposedly does better than iPhone 8+, many other places show a different situation.
