And, Apple has to purchase at least one of those key improvements from one of their biggest competitors because Apple lacks the technical skill, patents and capability to produce it.

Apple and Samsung persuade people they want things that really are not important, with big budgets. The Chinese copy them. Sony engineers carry on saying "Who wants a fragile phone with a short battery life and a screen where it's hard to fit a protector? And how do you hold it in landscape for making videos without bezels?" And so, they only sell to other engineers.

Agree with Victor, about the Samsung Galaxy A8 and A8+ both are perfect illustration. All the tech is there already, we just need to make it cheaper, better, more attainable and universally beneficial. My opinion is that A8 design just looks more convenient choice which is an alternative to unusual bezelless curved profiles that is prone to accidental touches also fragility those device have no protection against damage. But I don't agree with Vlad on hating on iPhone 8/8 plus design because it looks like a device from 2014, that futuristic iPhone X display looks like an eyesore with that ugly notch design.

Which is the reason of worst smartphone? Is... Non-removable battery, no radio, no 3.5mm jack, no proper software updates, no quality shutdowns and bootloop, depleted battery cannot be rechargeable...

There is literally no phone that has improved so many parameters from its predecessor as iphone x.
15% more BtR, 50% more battery (in mah), twice the pixel count, 50% more ram, twice the raw power... passive biometrics.
Those are stagering numbers that are more typically achieved between 2-3 generations and they did it in one fell swoop.
Sure it is useless because it is running IOS, but if android were even half as competent hardware wise we would live in a different world. Iphone X is literally 2-3 years ahead of the rest...

When someone told me this is the best that is the best smartphone, I wont believe them, because they could be bias already. Just like someone said the S8 is the best smartphone but in daily usage they will find the fingerprint scanner is more annoying than others, the iphone lost the 3.5mm jack is a wrong way because most of the user have their used 3.5mm headphones, they lost the user friendly. What they start the bezel less trend is to force the user must fit the smartphone with a case just for few centimeter smaller size down. They put in 2 to 4 camera sensor in a tiny device to do a simple job! And finally they increase the selling price with the useless trends!!
