Nokia 2 review

05 January 2018
Nokia 1 to 10 - a Nokia for everyone. The portfolio's expansion continues into the the entry-level segment with the Nokia 2 - a budget model if there ever was one, priced around the $100 mark.

Personally, I don't care about specs.

All I need is a brand that can be trusted.

Nokia still produces phones that built to last.

This will be my next phone.

Nokia 2 disappointed me. The phone is getting hot till android logo will advise me to off the phone. I go to Nokia care; they can't resolve it. Making call is as if I,m roasting my ear. This; just from the 1st day. I have if for 2 weeks now.

Would you read again gsmarena authors who „repeatedly said having plastic on phones is not bad“. How dows it feel having now all phones with glass back? I for once will always choose if available the plastic ones though they will less and less. By plastic there was wonderful time you drop phone on beton and it sparated itself in pieces like cover battery and main. You assembled them back and were good to go. Now enjoy your spider webs if you dropped new phone.
Besides this here is just terrobly made phone at dumping price. Its back cover beimg flimsy is your last concern. Peace

Anonymous, 07 Jan 2018friend, you are paying for the excellent build quality don'... moreI think that a phone with a flimsy plastic battery cover which isn't actually a battery cover (why is that?) is not in the category of a quality made phone. These days aluminum or metal frame could be found on a lot of phones in these price range.
Also, the excelent build quality is not yet proven with HMD Global Nokia. We will see that in the near future.

It has gorilla glass bro, non of the competition has, next phone from other producers is LG K8 and after this only above 300 euro, so you might think about it again!

2017 was first year in mobile realm for HMD and they made quite few mistakes. releasing phones which were underpowered for it's price (even if we account their promise of better software support than others which adds premium to a phone).

Nokia 2 was one of them.

It was clear , that this device will slow. It was clear, that after Nokia 3, a phone with weaker spec sheet will annoyingly slower. But they still did.
And when with Nokia 3, they could have excuse themselves by pointing to competitors, who use same or similar SoC-s, I can't remember a phone released 2017, which had Snapdragon 212.
