GSM, the Nokia 'magic' ended almost two decades ago I'm afraid to say.
Phillips was my first mobile then Nokia for years as they delivered the best tech at the time.
Sadly Nokia relied on their rep and young upstarts (in the market) like LG and Samsung forged ahead through their extensive R&D. Samsung's AMOLED and superior tech won it for me.

One between two ;
Nokia 2 - Very good built quality, fluid stock android experience for second daily driver/entry level phone.
Redmi 5a - Decent built quality, worth for price to performance ratio, good soc and ram configuration, should be best phone in this categories.

In my country, Romania, the price of this Nokia 2 is 108Euro. And for THESE MONEY (OR LESS !) there are a lot of models from big manufacturers.
So,
Nokia 2: Snapdragon 212 / 8GB / 1GB RAM / 4100mAh - 108 Euro
VS
- Xiaomi Redmi 4A: Snapdragon 425 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 3120mAh - 104Euro
- Meizu M5c; MediaTek MT6737 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 3000mAh - 87Euro
- Lenovo Vibe K5: Snapdragon 415 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 2750mAh - 108Euro
- Motorola C Plus: MediaTek MT6737 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 4000mAh - 108Euro
- ZTE Blade A512 - Snapdragon 425 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 2540mAh
- Lenovo S1 Lite: MediaTek MT6753 / 16GB / 2GB RAM / 2700mAh - 115Euro
etc. etc. etc
And that's when the holiday promotions are over!
It's seems that HMD Global has old Nokia employees in the company and I think they brought with them the typical Nokia arrogance from the age when Nokia still was No. 1. You have to be really stupid to think that people will pay 108Euro for that pice of junk, just for the name. What they are smoking?
Nokia = emotional attachment for a lot of people, unfortunately. This is why some people are buying these obsolete phones like Nokia 2 even so they know that in the the same money (or less) you can get better phones. They are brainwashed and they are still living in the past.

This is doa(dead on arrival).
1GB ram on Android is a joke. Better buy Xioami MI phones with 3-4GB rams...

Nice screen, nice build, Dual-SIM+dedicated SD slot, stock Android and excellent battery life. Seems like a decent enough phone for a elderly relative who is very light user, or as a backup phone.
I hope Nokia 2 (2018), if one ever appears, one ups this one with Snapdragon 410 chipset at least, fp scanner and USB-C 1.0. Then I'd consider actually getting one as a light user.

I use a Nokia 2, I've downloaded only WhatsApp and Saavn (music streaming). There are no issues. It's still smooth. That's just enough for me.

Nah. It's better to just get an used, 3-4 years old phone (Nexus 4 for example) for as low as 50€. And the performance would be significantly better.

Dont buy this junk because of the name , its too slow for anything but phone calls.
